Which chiller you using?
Trade winds super 1/3HP

http://www.tradewindchillers.com/inline-water-chiller/

1000GPH pump

Going to add a couple sites to it and finish off with 8 sites and do a 4 x 8 scrog next res change. Total system volume will be 150gal then so it will work good with the chiller rated for 400gal.

I have a 640w solstrip build coming in with 6 3500k and 6 2700k 2 450/665nm strips hooked up to 2 320h-24A. Will only be 38w/sq.ft. but should pull between 3-4# maybe more with the right strains with the (2) 320w drivers and (2) 240w

Looking good, are you just running waterfalls or adding airstones?.

I have an ap-100 just sitting there but I'm just doing waterfalls for now. Chiller isn't on. Room is 68F night time and 74F lights on and they are directly on the concrete slab so the res has been 66-68F.

I have a BlueLab pH doser but I wouldn't recommend it since it doesn't do a range. So I set my pH to 5.6 and let it rise to 6.1 in monitor mode and then switch to control mode and it doses down to 5.6 then the next day I switch it back to monitor mode and let it rise again.

I'd like to build my own with an Arduino or see if I can hack the microprocessor to allow for a range. The mechanisms are there so I'm not sure why Bluelab didn't take it to the next level.

This is them 12 days ago. They were about 5 days in this 12 gal tote system. This is my veg system. I also need to add a couple sites to this to keep an 8 site veg and 8 site flower.

They grow so fast in this system

Will tag along to see how things go especially if you stick to just waterfalls. Got a single bucket going atm with a chiller and water pump for the waterfall seems fine so far. Last time I had problems, but back to have another go. Just nutes, calmag and tap water. Running 18c

They are dealing with a Mg deficiency though. I think they are just hungry. They were at 630ppm (1.26EC) last night and now they are at 570ppm.

Roots are filling up their new home a lot for only a week in there.

Finally got the screens on a couple days ago. I had to increase to 24" height instead of 16" since they grew so much while I was trying to correct a Mg deficiency

I just posted in another topic something from Canna.
They say that you get Mg deficiency when the root temperature goes below 68 F.
I know you guys think that hydro depends on chillers.
But be aware that there is a risk of less absorbtion of nutes when water is below 68 F.

How full are your totes?! I have 12 17 gals + a large control res and my system has under 100gal of water in it.
My 6" net pots are also 5" deep, maybe thats where the big difference it as I keep my level an in below my pots.
I fit about 17-20 gal in each 27 gal tote. My netpots aren't deep, maybe 3.5-4" deep.

I need a smaller pump. The difference in water level on the control bucket is much lower than the sites and the pump gurgles after a week or less depending on stage of growth. I'd rather not top off that often.

The 150 is when I add a couple sites. That's at 17gal per. I need to get a water meter so I can see how much I do put in.

ohhh youre using 27g sites ok i missed that line under it and I wasnt sure from the pictures.
Yeah. My cloner is 17 gal and then I have a few 6 site 27 gal that I wanna use for a SOG grow. 6 plants in 3 sq. Ft. I have a 6 site 12 gal for veg.

They go from the 17gal aero cloner to the 27 gal multi site then to the 12 gal rdwc then to the 27 gal rdwc

Got some good SOG canidates in the garden now.

Nice! I have a 17 gal cloner as well lol. In the process of building a smaller veg setup in a 5x5 with 12x 3.5 gallon buckets. The net pots I use are meant for 5 gallon buckets and the 3.5s are the same size just shorter so I figured it would make it super easy to transplant everything. I got a pack of 24 of them so ill transplant my clones right into those in the veg tent and when theyre really I can just pick up the whole pot out of the bucket and just drop it through the holes in the lids of my big sites. Going with a much shorter veg time next crop so im going to make the whole system elevated to save my back from having to bend down over them for training. Will be going for more of a 4 row scrog.
