Okay, I'll see your non sequitur and raise you an abundance of nonsense.

The reason shave ice couldn't be considered as "the national dessert" was Hawaii wasn't allowed to be a nation, by virtue of their subjugation as a territory and then as a subject state of the USA , rather than an independent nation.

Hawaii could be considered both an island chain and an archipelago.

The Higgins guy couldn't win something in 1959, if it hadn't occurred yet. Non sequitur.

Hawaii means place of the gods, probably due to Volcanic activity, and in much of the pronunciations of the various languages of the Pacific there was a break in the two i's at the end for instance Hawai'i. (Hawaiian) or Savai'i (Samoan) , Havai'i (Tahitian) etc. Politically changing the spelling or meanings of words is a feature of overreaching governments, but often subjects aren't the one who gets to decide the new meanings, the masters do that. For instance "tax" is a euphemism for theft, because it if were called theft, people might actually develop freedom ideas rather than complacently heralding government as a necessary construct.

i wholeheartedly agree and believe that anyone with native blood or slave blood should have reparations and tax exempt status, once and for all.

this would be determined through genetic testing and/or tribal/slave records.

Reparations - That's a nice sentiment, but difficult to implement justly and the difficulty can become exponential with the passage of time since more sub scenarios evolve. Also, if the people who caused the original harm are all dead, who pays for the reparations can be problematic. How far back do we go ? Should European people carrying Neanderthal genes file suit against pure Homo Sapiens for supplanting them 60,000 years ago ?

Tax Exempt Status - As a fervent abolitionist, I would expand your excellent idea to every person and replace confiscatory measures with voluntary and mutual interactions. Slavery should end for everyone.

My genetic testing came back "27% thc" , with a rank wet dog like unidentifiable hominid terpene odor. True story.

"Education" ? The way to ensure equal funding is to disallow confiscatory measures to get the funding and allow people choices.

Equally robbing people and equally distributing the proceeds of the robbery does nothing to advance true equality, since it forcibly removes one parties choice in favor of another parties imposed edict over them. So to call that "equality" is self evidently in error.

You don't know what "equality" really means and abuse the word when you misuse it the way that you do.
