Hit My Main Girls or Some Cuttings?

I am wondering if it will be worth it to pollenate these cuttings? Or am I better off pollenating the bottoms of my main girls? (Would you expect a large difference in the amount of seeds? Or Quality of seeds?)

I have clones (16 days from cut). 8 Days ago they had a good bundle of roots sticking out of the cubes, so they've been vegging for just over a week since then in hempy.
- Move these girls to flower (in solo cups) and pollenate the entire plant

OR

- Just collect pollen from males, and brush on the bottom branches of my Main females in my flower room. (Which are large, heavily trained females.) Only downside with this is a risk of pollenating more than I want.

when you say 'brush'...it makes me shiver lol

never brush, when you brush...you're flicking pollen somewhere....dab it gently and you'll be fine

Then I wait for about an hr and spray the branch with water.

Here's my male.... Do you think I can start "Tapping"/Squishing Balls over a large flat surface to collect pollen? Or do they need some more time to start opening by themselves? (Just trying to limit the amount of stray pollen if they start opening by themselves.) It is day 14 since 12/12. Some look like they're ready to burst?

Thanks Mate! Haha, I was thinking paint brush so I said brush ...but I guess I could use a Q-Tip to! I have a separate section so I will leave them with pollen for a few hours before soaking them in water.

You can do either. Both will work. I like to do entire smaller plants so I would do a clone.
Yeah, decided to do the entire cuttings. They grew a lot since then to! This is going to be FUN! :D

Chop the boy and put in a glass of water over a smooth surface, (I use a sheet of glass)
They look ready

They're getting close. I like to let them start opening by themselves. You can move that male to another spot. It doesn't need to be under a bunch of light to finish. You can cut off the leaves that get in the way and angle it over a tray or plate somewhere and let it do it's thing. Then collect the pollen. But you don't want it anywhere there is a draft or any wind.

Good luck.

Soon you will have your own seeds.

@Herb & Suds @xtsho Thanks guys!

I put one end in a container of RO Water. I hung the other end with string so it would stay horizontal but still in the water. I trimmed away any fan upper leaves that might get in the way of pollen falling. Over some RAW (Brand) organic Parchment Paper.

So I held a bowl similar to Xtsho's picture above, right underneath the balls, and gave the stem/balls some taps with a pair of tweezers. I went around the entire plant and I barely got any pollen. :(. (Like a quart of a fingernail. I know that's "technically" more than enough probably, but in picture guys have like entire bowls full of pollen?)

Is it Still too early to be collecting pollen!? End of day 17. A few balls were already open like parachutes, but not that much pollen.

I still took a Q-Tip and got some on there and tapped it over the girls I wanted to pollenate. But I was hoping to get much more, at least 1 tablespoon worth of pollen that I could cut with flour and store for later use as well.

Hopefully that was enough for the girls, I still left them with the males, I'll see how those pistils look tomorrow or later tonight.

Don't worry man, I never get that much either. Mine, looks like a dust cover on my collecting plate. Like the plate have been left for decades and a thin dust settled on it. More than enough to pollinate several branches.
