So my dad is a public figure and my family was kinda in the spotlight in our smaller city (about a half million). We would regularly get death threats. I remember having somebody threaten to shoot me at a county fair while I was 11 years old because he didn't like the political party I was volunteering for.

My dad regularly got goofy death threats, you don't take them seriously but they add up. Honestly, after reading your first sentence, it was difficult for me to feel sorry for you. You don't get to intimidate your way into getting what you want. Of course he called the cops.

We rarely ever called the cops in regards to the death threats, but believe me there were a few that we did for and I grew up terrified my dad would be killed. He honestly was just trying to help the community and place he grew up in.

I myself am a social worker and therapist and have had to call the cops once. Your threat must have sounded pretty damn credible because we get people telling us they are going to harm us all the time.

Just realize, you sound extremely unhinged. I doubt that is your intent. I have had very frustrating medical experiences myself, but the last way to get help is to start threatening people.

I will also tell you the story of how terrifying it was to walk into the house as a 5th grader, check my answer machine and tell you how scary it was to hear somebody specifically describe how they were going to kill my sisters and I and stick a shotgun up my dads asshole and pull the trigger. Or hear about how my sisters were going to be raped in front of my father and I etc etc etc.

This isn't giving somebody a "piece of your mind" its threatening them. Not okay. I think the current political climate is making some people think this is "strength" but its actually a display of weakness.

I'm actually surprised haha, after the first post, when I read you were on probation I was certain you woulda violated it but alas here we are 2 years after the fact and you've managed to keep it together haha, I'd probably advise against drinking because I'm gunna assume that this is something that will land you right back inside haha, smoke weed, chill enjoy your freedom man, can be taken away in an instant.

Yeah I know what its like to get death threats. We used to have this crazy neighbor that lived next door who threatened us all the time.
The thing about what happened with me that gets under my skin is that he didn't report me to the cops for what I actually did.
He lied about what was said and claimed I threatened to shoot him in the head, which is far from the truth. I actually kind of liked the guy even, but he's worthless as a doctor.
At the time he wasn't prescribing me anything I don't think. Most if not all my meds came from my cardiologist.
The felony criminal threats was thrown out completely. But they still hold it over me.
I tried to look it up and always heard it was illegal to lie to a police officer. But then I read that depending on the seriousness of the lie it can be a felony.
So if you lie about something serious like a felony then the lie to the cops it self becomes a felony. Which is exactly what he did. And he was never held accountable even for a misdemeanor.
They just wanted to focus on me and what I did wrong. I don't see this as being justice. And I ought to sue him when I can afford it. My one felony of possession of a firearm could be reduced to a misdemeanor but I don't think they will do it since he claimed I threatened to shoot him. He made things a whole lot worse for me by lying. My attorney told me that its somehow worse because hes a doctor. I saw the police report where he claims hes in fear for his life and his family and he prays the full extent of the law reigns down on me, and on and on. He's a scum bag for lying about what was said.

Last summer I sent a email to my doctor asking if he would want someone to rip his nuts off and telling him to respect me more.
This whole predicament is because of you’re own doing.

Next time puff one and just , goto a new doc, what are you ever going to accomplish getting a “doctor to respect you more”

You’re not tony soprano

If you are kudos to being on the forum

But there was a whole story behind why I specifically said that to him.
When I was about 9 years old I was playing in the back yard with some toy cars.
Digging tunnels and stuff. And my friend and his mom came over.
He came out to the back yard and one of the first things he did was jump on the tunnels I made.
I got pissed and got up and tried to kick him in the nuts but missed and hit his lower belly.
I walked away to go back in the house and his mom ran out yelling what did you do.
Because he was crying. I told her I kicked him in the nuts. Then she ran over to me and put her hands down my pants.
And grabbed as much of my privates as she could, which consisted of my left nut. And she began pulling and twisting.
To the point I was being lifted off the ground. I've had left testicle pain ever since then. I want my left nut removed even so
I won't have to deal with the pain anymore, and it also has repeatedly been infected with epididymitis ever since then.
The doctor was fully aware of this story. That's specifically why I asked him if he would want someone to rip his nuts off.
Basically saying how would you like it if it happened to you. Then he turns around and tells the cops that I've threatened to shoot him in the head.
So they came looking for guns, which I had but wasn't supposed to have for another few months to go. Which is ultimately what I got in trouble for.
I would have no problem pleading guilty to what I actually did. The problem is that he lied about what was said.

I can grab my let nut and pull it away from my body a good distance without the level of pain ever changing.
My right nut if i tugged it at all would hurt like normal. Something is seriously wrong.

It wasn't random or out of no where that I just up and said that to him.
He told the cops that I just randomly threatened to shoot him for no reason.

Also when I asked him to have my testosterone level checked he told me "We can talk about that later".
A few months went by and he still wouldn't even talk about it. After everything that happened and I did
end up getting a new doctor, that I really like. The new doctor agreed to test my testosterone range
and it actually did come back low. Since it came back low this made me feel a little bit justified in giving him a hard time.

Woohoo! I finished my probation without any mistakes. Yesterday was my last day.
I even emailed my PO to confirm and she said my probation has expired.

If anyone cares to hear it i have updates on how everything is going.
I was told I had to do community activity instead of community service so one of the things I did for about 6 months or so was going to a mental health drop in center.
But that place got taken over by another company. This other company who took over the contract basically ran everyone off in the first two weeks they were open.
No one likes it there now. They refuse to sign my paperwork saying that I was going to the new place too. So I had to find something else to do. I started going to the local senior center and doing meals on wheels. Everyone is really nice there and they have no problem signing my paper work. It became stressful though because I have to ride the bus to and from the senior center and there has been multiple times I was waiting for the bus to pick me up on the way home and the bus driver just drives right by me leaving me at the bus stop to wait another half hour plus for the next bus or walk across town to get home.

I complained to my probation officer about this and she actually listened to me. So far my probation officer has been really easy to get along with. She wants me to go two more months and then she says we can change my probation so that I don't have to check in in the office anymore, which I believe means I'll be done turning in my sign in sheet. She says once my probation changes I will just have to call in once a month instead of going into the probation office once every two months. I've been on probation 9 months already and they have not drug tested me yet. I even asked if she wanted to test me the last time I was there and she said she's not worried about that. I think it's because my crime wasn't drug related.

Also working at the senior center has just turned into work and further stressing me out. I recently signed up for some classes at my local college and they have been signing my paperwork. So at least a couple days a week I Don't have to go to the senior center.

What I'm most happy about is that I read about early termination of probation. I read you generally have to serve at least half your probation time and pay all court and probation fee's. I talked to my probation officer about this and she said I will be eligible for early termination of probation. All my fee's should be paid off by next month too which my PO said is good because anything positive I can do looks good when she has to report to her supervisor.

So for the most part I should be off probation in the next 9 months or so and I only have to keep the stressful part of getting my paper work signed for the next couple months, and after that I just have to call in once a month.

Another thing I'm happy about is that if I get early termination of probation then I can instantly file for a felony expungement. And after that I just need a governors pardon to get my gun rights back. I've been on the section 8 housing waiting list for over 5 years already and if I don't get that felony expunged soon enough I don't know that anyone will rent to a felon. Without early termination of probation I might not get the felony expunged in time.

I've really been feeling the itch to smoke again.
I can't wait to get off probation so I can smoke and get drunk and do all the other naughty things I want to do.
Good luck with probation man I did 10 years on paper to avoid a 25-99. If I can do it anyone can just don’t give them any reason to fuck with you.

When the police came looking for firearms could you have just simply not answered? What is a 5150? Maybe I'm missing something.

Things are better now. I made it off probation back in November. I already paid a law firm to do felony expunge and they also confirmed my one felony is a wobbler which means it can be a felony or a misdemeanor. They are trying to get it reduced to a misdemeanor. We are just waiting for a court date now. My new doctor has been really good to me. They actually listen when I say I have problems and have sent me to an orthopedic doctor for my back and shoulder. My last doctor said I had back pain because I'm fat. With my new doctor an MRI showed I have spinal stenosis, arthritis, and a bulged disc. Another MRI showed that my shoulder has a torn tendon. I'm supposed to get shoulder surgery next month. My shoulder problem is from an old high school wrestling injury about 20 years ago. My back problems started about 20 years ago when I tried bull riding 4 different times and got hurt ever time by being thrown off a bull to the hard ground and landing on my tail bone.
For the guy who asked what a 5150 is that is a mandatory 72 hour hold for evaluation, a danger to ones self or others. And upon release a 5 year ban on gun ownership.
