Yeah, don't throw away your seeds. You won't be able to afford buying retail weed cause you gotta smoke twice as much. Good luck anyway!!!

Now that weed is legal, I can't use regular seeds, keep a mother, or start clones. No SOG allowed. Stupid 4 plant limit!

So I just popped 4 feminized Jackie Whiteout seeds that I'm going to veg long enough to have the four finished plants completely fill my 5x5 tent in a SCROG setup.

Im happy family and friends can come to my house and smoke weed.

As far as the 4 plant limit ...as long as a person don't make waves and have cops come to a house they will not know if you have 10 to 20 plants.
Just never show anyone your grow then no one will know you have 10 to 20 plants.

I am looking forward to a plethora of Canadian seed outlets....I could get $8 seeds without paying almost $14 shipping from Europe for them---oooo-I hate that!

If you grow your own it doesn't matter. What's the difference between when it was legal and when it wasn't? Only thing I see is that no smells or hydro bills will be noticed as a grow OP.
LOL you really like being arrested and going to jail? Ya nothing has changed.

Were you allowed to do any of that before? No so why stop now?

Canadians can now legally and responsibly enjoy cannabis. If you do it right you can grow more pot than humanly possible to smoke with the 4 plant rule.
What is bogus? That only wealthy people can legally sell it. Unlike vegetables at a farmers market. You may only buy seed from vendors that are connected to the governments meathooks, that’s akin to the good ol gun control they tried to fuck us over with.
This really nothing more than a way to collect more money from the poor and give it to corporations and the crown.

Mostly I'm just whining about legalization, because it's the "in" thing to do among our community these days. Lol

But... to answer your question:

One reason is to remain within the legal framework for growing now that we finally have a legal framework. The only reason I grew outside of that limit before was because the legal limit was zero. Whether you popped one seed or 7 seeds, you could pretty much expect the same outcome in court if charged, particularly when cannabis was still under the Narcotics Control Act that Mulroney fought so hard to keep it under. Now look at him. When he was Prime Minister he would have put himself in jail for 25 years. But that's another whine for a different occasion.

Another reason is the challenge. How much weed could I reasonably expect to grow in one year indoors with the four plant limitation? I've pretty much answered this question for myself personally using no-till organic living soil - and the answer is about 3 kilograms of dry, cured bud. That's 3 grows a year, pulling 1kg per grow. To be honest that's more than enough for me, even if I turn much of it into rosin.

With one mother and 3 plants in flower it’s easily possible to harvest 12 plants a year. Depending on how you grow them you may only get a couple harvests a year but it’s very possible to get better tan a pound a plant. So at 3 pounds a harvest potentially up to 12 pounds a year. However if you wish to grow big outdoor plants, you could up that volume a tad with a winter indoor crop and one prep crop for outdoors. I have friends that are successfully growing Mendo dope sized plants here in BC. Mostly finished in greenhouses. You can easily see a kilo per plant. Many plants will make more than that.

Yeah? Show us your 2 kilo plants? I'd even settle for seeing a one kilo plant you've grown indoors.

Big talk from those who've never done it themselves.

Damn you! Not every Canadian lives in beautiful coastal BC unfortunately. Here in eastern Ontario, frosts and winter can come in late September when you see the promise of bud just coming! Guys in Winnipeg, well... oh my. Canada is a big place, and we don't get the outside benefits that tropical BC does.

As far as indoor, as I said 3 harvests a year of 4 plants which my limited mathematical abilities tell me 12 plants per year as you mentioned. But 1 pound a plant indoors in 4 months from seed has yet been unobtainable for me, but then again I only have a 5X5 tent for my 4 plants and they fill every inch and corner within 2 months from seed. I guess I need a bigger tent, and also more light to do what you do? But wouldn't that take more veg time to spread out to the extra area?

I guess he's talking about all outdoors, which honestly is irrelevant to most of us Canadians who don't have the benefit of living in coastal BC, or even extreme southern Ontario, or Annapolis Valley Nova Scotia. Most Canadians don't live in such nice weather places.
