Medical cannabis will be much better under governor pritzker

Just a silly tangent here, but who do you think mueller will indict next?

I think don junior or roger stone are due for time in prison next
If you were as cute and clever as you think you are, douche nozzle.. if you think anyone in politics isn't a crook you're insane, don't act like jb us some kind if Messiah sent to save Illinois with his views on pot gtfoh

I have been lurking since I started my journey in August and finally decided to create an account just to say that. Its so helpful to login in daily/weekly and see people's progress. However logging in to see people arguing about politics with each other is horrible. This is supposed to be a good community with nice people trying to help each other. Lets leave this political negative stuff out of here.... please.

Now hopefully someone can help me out?

I went to Innovative Express Care Late July/Early August and I received an email stating "Congrats! Your application has been submitted to the IDPH" on August 6th and it had a receipt attached for $100.

Currently I am estimating around November 6th as "my date" however has anyone else with Innovative Express experienced any quicker/longer wait times? Also, for the Informed Delivery through USPS does that just give me online access to what/when I should be receiving mail? Meaning that I will see something from IDPH is on its way?

Thank you so much in advanced for answering my questions and I hope everyone who is waiting here doesn't have to wait much longer.

Hey!

I went through IEC as well!

Here is my timeline:

1st digital visit/diagnosis: 9/11
2nd visit (in office): 9/13
3rd visit (digital) 9/20

Received an email with payment and saying application was submitted on 9/20.

I am thinking my countdown starts from 9/20. I emailed IDPH on 10/1 and they received my application, which is good news. I have seen some people say their wait was down to 75 days. Which would be nice, now that there is no fineger print or background check, so hopefully the wait time has dropped! Patiently waiting now, hopefully will be in the beginning of December for me!!

Hey
Just thought I would share my experience so far getting the medical marijuana card in Illinois.

It took nine phone calls on nine different days to get somebody to answer my call. I was told they received my application August 25, 2017 this was 39 working days ago 7 1/2 weeks total.

The only information they will release to you about your application is the date that they have received it. I did ask approximately how far backlogged they are. I was told 60 working days or 12 weeks until they get to applications. I was told the day they review your application it’s approved or denied that same day. if it’s approved it’s mailed to the DMV and other agencies to be printed and that could take approximately 10 to 14 business days or 3 weeks.

Long story short It’s October 18, 2017 and it takes approximately start to finish according to the secretary 10 to 11 weeks. And they are just falling further and further behind.

1) The state is understaffed and has no sure fire procedure to Efficiently process applications.

2) It is impossible to get a hold of anybody or get any sort of response as to what’s going on with your application.

3) I had to drive almost 3 hours to find a doctor.

I know this is just a pilot program and there’s a lot of kinks to be worked out but there’s plenty of other states that have developed efficient ways to handle those why is Illinois being so stubborn. It doesn’t take over three months to get antidepressants or hard-core pain killers.

Can’t Illinois be good at anything for crying out loud we’re already one of the most laugh at states across the board.

Patience is a virtue I suppose.

Sincerely
A agitated resident of Illinois.

I just realized this Blog is 1 year old 4 days ago. Happy Birthday to Us, look what you started, Thanks!

Illinois politics and politicians is related to this discussion. Especially the Governors race. I haven't talked about national level politics at all. I agree with you on that part, but I don't think its wrong to point out that there are pro-MMJ and anti-MMJ candidates in the state of Illinois. If that makes you uncomfortable, then sorry but its important. I'd agree that the discussion should be done in a way that isn't just partisan banter.

Yes, lets leave the negative stuff out. But we should not pretend that politics are not impacting us. Remember, Quinn signed the MMJ law years ago. The Illinois program would be in a better spot if we had an Governor and other officials that were pro-MMJ. It doesn't really matter the name or the party. Just the position. Our current Governor has tried to veto the program several times and is on record opposing MMJ. That is fact, not being negative. Advocacy is just as important and a huge part of the wait time.

The law says we are supposed to have our cards within 30 days. Its obvious that this isn't being taken seriously by the current administration. This thread likely wouldn't exist if the program was taken seriously by the current administration.

I think its extremely "positive" that we have so many pro MMJ politicians running in this race.
