Do we not have a thread about this? Yikes.

Today Trump went public stating his belief that Jamal Kashoggi was killed by "rogue agents" while reiterating his support for the Saudis. The Saudi king denied it - just like Putin denied interference in our elections. After all, we don't want to imperil our weapons sale to the Saudis - that would stand in the way of wealthy people making a buck of the deaths of terrorists, people who oppose tyranny, children, doctorsdo school teachers, etc.. Shit, that's good business. We would be fools to walk away from that, right?

I mean, Kashoggi could have been killed by a 400 pound guy in his Mom's Basement.

Thank you Trump for bring us back to the good old days.

How is it that in the Reagan Era, Iran-Contra = Bad, but selling weapons to the Saudis who have what appear to be a history of state-sponsored terrorism and human rights abuses, and now especially after they’ve clearly killed an American journalist?

The Saudis are now admitting he was killed, that it was an interrogation that went bad and that it wasn't officially sanctioned by the Saudi government.

Trump probably advised them:

We don't know anything about him!

Ok, so he entered our embassy, but we don't know where he went after that.

Ok, we know he entered the embassy and he never left, but we don't know what happened.

Ok, so he came into our embassy and was killed, but not by us.

Ok, so we killed him during an interrogation, but we didn't mean to and we didn't actually tell the crew to fly down there and interrogate him because he was pissing us off and sneak out the back door to a private plane and haul ass out of Turkey.

Good thing all embassies have a bone saw. It sure was lucky that those 15 guys dropped in for an hour.

i wonder why they were "interrogating" a 59 year old guy? he's a journalist, he writes news stories....if you don't want him doing that, just bar him from entering the country. or just hire someone to run him over in the street, "oh my, what an unfortunate accident"......
it's almost like people want to be caught doing evil shit...or like they forget that the rest of the world wants to at least pretend they've advanced past this shit, and doesn't like to be reminded of reality.

I think we both know that the reason they did it the way they did it was because with Trump as President they knew full well nothing would come of it.
