We had one thunderstorm mid-afternoon today. It was mostly wind with very little rain, but it did cool things down. At 1745 it's mostly cloudy, 79F with 82% humidity. Forecast high/low of 95/74F with 40% chance of rain. 10 day high/low of 92/72F with 8 days of possible rain.

We had a pretty good thunderstorm as I was leaving for work. Lots of wind and sharp lightning. At 1710 it's sunny, 78F with 90% humidity. Forecast high/low of 88/73F with 40% chance of rain tonight. 10 day high/low of 90/70F with 10 days of possible rain. The Dog Days have another week. Hope to see some relief from the rain after that.

The recent hail storm in Colorado Springs got the windshield of my niece's half sister's car {which was totaled by the last storm}.

Also caused $130K in damage to Sister's BFF's house. Two windows not broken.

No one hurt.

It did hurt the niece's half sister's pocket book. Her car had been totaled by the last storm. She took the money and just had a wind shield put in. A month later she had to do it again. I'm guessing once it was totaled, they are not going to pay out again.

I drove through one shower three times on the way to work. Not really that big, but I had to make a lot of turns.

At 2000 it's clear, 77F with 93% humidity. Forecast high/low of --/73F with 20% chance of rain tonight. 10 day high/low of 91/71F with only 7 days of possible rain. Only two days in the 90's. I might make it through this summer after all.

Yea, I talked to Sister a couple days ago. She has been staying with her friend down in Colorado Springs, and she is not going outside because of the smoke. She was due home a few days ago, but she got free tickets to football and baseball games. I've fed Mamma's old cat for so long while she was gone, I know I will run by there and feed it a time or two after she gets home.

We had more rain today. It rained me out of the garden. At 1845 it's fair, 85F with 78% humidity. Forecast high/low of 87/74F with 30% chance of rain tonight. 10 day high/low of 91/72F with 8 days of possible rain. They were saying on TV that this cold front coming through could drive temps down to the high 60's, but wunderground isn't buying it. Although there is only one day in the 90's. Most years the 1st week of September is about as hot as it gets all summer. After that it starts to cool off at night a little.

We had a cold front push through. Highs are still in the high 80's/ low 90's, but it really felt nice out today. Drier, so the dew point is much lower. At 1855 it's sunny, 84F with 64% humidity. Forecast high/low of 88/72F with 10% chance of rain tonight. 10 day high/low of 90/72F with 8 days of possible rain.
