Drying in side of a refrigerator with the door open and a fan

Yo fam! Quick questions, if I leave the fridge door open and have the light off crack the door a little and add a fan, do you think I will be able to dry the herb? I don't really have many options. I can get the temperature around 55 - 65 it will vary during day and time with the door open and with the door open and wet shirt I am sure I can get 50% rh.

What are your thoughts?

Get a bathroom fart fan hooked to her up top and an inlet below then u can close door to light. I dry ncure in a old freezer, not running in anyway, rigged like that, works great!

Never thought of getting a operating fridge that would not get real cold... though would colder be bad if it had airflow and low rh? Idk...

It sounds like a great idea, but I have no idea how to do it. It's an old fridge from our house before. Nothing fancy. It's very old, but works great. How would I go about hooking up the fans?

Buy cheap fart fan, Cut hole at upper wall to run flexible duct out the size required by fart fan, screw fan to ceiling and plumb out the exaust ducr to a carbon filter if you desire. Then near bottom do the same, run out some flex duct, run it to simple low resistance type filter.keep bugs out or whatnot... real easy. I ran low expansion spray foam around duct where i ran it out to seal it back up so the fan draws right

Do you think this will work?

Rh is high.. if u cant lower it mechanically they sell thoe damprid units at dollar store. Once used up u can refill with calcium cloride, thats the pricier than rock salt snow melt stuff the little round balls. It helps and it adds no heat like a dehuey.

Im not sure effects of cold dry n cure, good or bad, though that cool tne rh MAY be okay as the absolute humidity may not be out of whack cuz remember rh has everything to do with temp as much as it does actual humidity

I use my wine cellar to hang bud. Can dial in the temp and humidity. IF you leave the door open your going to have a whopper of an electric bill. You just don't want drying bud to be too hot, not ref. temps. Just not over say 85 and you should be OK. If your really concerned with heat, turn the fridge down all the way (check with thermometer) and just put some drying element inside (Boveda or dry chamois, or rocksalt) to control humidity. Open at least once daily to give them fresh air. Keeping a close eye on them is most important, not the exact temp.
