Read the whole description on the Qb324's. It says the screws on those boards need washers. Non-conductive washers I guess. For that exact reason you just mentioned. Only reason I know is I just ordered 4 of them suckers.
Edit: Those look like qb288s but those are the same wide-head screws that come with the qb324s.

Appreciate all the input. You covered the bases and well. Want to clarify Im not coming down on the light or the seller. Im saying a 320 watt quantum board light should flower a 4 x 4 tent just fine especially when in the hands of an experienced grower.
I've flowered 4x4 tents with 600 watts of hps using digital ballasts no problem. From what Im reading the 320 watt quantum board led blows a 600 hps out of the water correct? In fact I've been reading that some dont even have them running full blast.
So wouldn't it stand to reason that a 320 watt quantum ,in the right hands, could flower a 4x4 tent just fine?
Wouldn't it be overkill to add two of these to 4 x4 or even a 5 x 5 tent? Wouldn't it stand to reason that rather than putting 2 320 watt lights in a small tent you should consider moving your one light with a mover?
Seriously, one 320 watt on a mover would knock a 4 x 4 or even a 5 x 5 out of the park wouldnt it? Maybe Im crazy ...

My apologies if this is the wrong place... but can anyone give me instructions on how to connect my non-official qb288x2 leds?
When I first hooked it up, it was only drawing 125 watts. Apparently, it was wired up in parallel. I tried to get it wired in series but it hasn't worked. The best result I could get was 280 watts but half the lights weren't turned on.
Each board would light up half the leds either at the top or bottom.
I've already started developing blisters flipping open the wagos an inordinate number of times so any help getting this board in series with all the lights lit up would be massively appreciated.

I never saw boards like you have there.
HLG boards simply attach 2 wires to each board.
you need to contact your seller whoever that may be.

Assuming the red wire is negative, and the black and red wire is positive.
Hook the black and red wire on the left board to the red wire on the right board.
Then take the red wire on the left board and hook to the negative(blue) of the driver, and the black and red wire on the right board and hook to the positive(brown) of the driver.
You should only have to use the top 2 connectors on each board.
Although to be completely honest, I cant see which connector is the negative. So if you can post a better pic

thanks for the detailed explanation. i'll give it a shot after eating... if i start fiddling with it now, i'll end up starving myself for a couple hours trying to figure it out.
basically, it goes?
1. L+- hooked up to R- to create the serial connection
2. L- hooked up to -driver
3. R+- hooked up to +driver
you say i should only use the top 2 connectors, so i'm not clear on why 3 on each side is meant to be used. i'll give both a shot anyways...
should the wires that are unused be disconnected from the board?
sorry if the picture is a jumble. the wires are multicolored and confusing even for me... i should probably put a sticker on and label them.

Yes disconnect the wires not being used, so you dont short out on your heatsink.
But basically you got it right.
About using the top two connectors, I just said that because it would be easier, no need to use more connectors than needed. If you want to use the top connectors to bridge the boards, then the bottom connectors to the driver. I was just saying you are only going to need to use 4 connectors in total.

You absolutely should be able to get as much bud from 320 watts of QBs as you get from 600 watts of HPS. But many people run 1,000 watts of HPS in their 4x4s, which is what people are replacing with the HLG-550 and HLG-600 (4-board fixtures running 500-600 watts).

The quantum kits at 320 watts (timber led) come with 3 panels. I could see how 4 panels at 360 watts would cover and flower a 4 x 4 with great results.
Again, maybe Im crazy but It seems like some are using far too much led light in small spaces. I honestly don't believe 600+ watts of quantum board led belongs in a 4x4 tent (of all things).
Am I wrong?
Also, how come no one is talking about using movers with these things??? Seems like a logical solution considering the edges drop in par pretty dramatically. If I used a mover on a 320 quantum in a 4x4 space Im hard pressed to believe that the results wouldn't be phenomenal.
Guess Im just hoping one of the experts will pipe in here and clear all this up.

Tents go up and down during the year ... Actually I'm looking to replace that 42x30 as it got a shitload of pinholes ... So it was dropped down until I find another.

You're in Cali right? Living large and in charge!!! That's why I thought that your place was huge... So I just dropped 2 Gas and Guns and a Forum Stomper and a Blue Toof since my others are almost done... Considering the size of my tent, should I use one gallon pots or go with two gallon pots?
