You should have 2 things. Universal health care and universal prescription coverage. Cut out the profiteering off of doom and gloom. That will fix most of the poverty situation and maybe people will be happier. With the massive influx of cash you have from taxes it will be cheaper than you think.

Our health care costs (Canada) and prescription costs are literally 1/3 of what you pay because it is regulated.

I know it sounds socialist but it will make your country better as a whole. I will call trump on the bat phone and see what he says.

Canda's health care provides better outcomes and the objective is different too. US companies put profit over quality, health and safety all the time. Medical decisions are made with profits first priority.

The arguments for health-care are often you wait so long you die. Not true. Often patients are assessed on the severity of the condition. My wife had an MRI. 1 week later she had an appointment with a neurologist and 1 day later had a brain tumor removed. Cost to me ZERO. She was treated for 14 months (until she died) and the cost to me for care was literally nothing. 3 hospital stays and home care for months and months. If I had to pay out of pocket......I understand the desperation and the problem better now. Sometimes it is good to be reminded to not take things for granted.
