Mine are still babies clones at this point barely rooted, I am going to take a long hike up a creek in a few weeks with 24 of a nice variety though, gg#4, skunk 1, mandarin cookies, a few other yummy ones. Hope its a good year for all of us!

You'll get a decently good yield but definitely not to its full potential because you'll root bound by the time harvest comes around. I once threw 2 feet tall plants into 100 gallon fabric pots and they all damn near root bounded on me. In my opinion, a 3 feet plant with a well developed root system, definitely deserves a bigger pot. Growers don't usually veg that long unless they want to grow monsters in hundreds of gallons worth of soil.

Agreed.... 40 gallons is really nothing above ground if the transplant is well established

In my area, 200gal is standard fare, and 100gals are uncomfortably small.

True, they'll throw roots right through them. That said, it gets pretty hot up here and I'd have to water like mad to keep up in such small pots

Make boxes out of chicken wire to plant them in, keeps the little shits out of your root system.

I have above ground boxes with a gopher wire bottom. Gophers can slip through the chicken wire available here

Did you know if you put a piece of juicy fruit gum in the gopher hole he will eat it and die. You have to wear rubber gloves since their sense of smell is good. I was told this by a grounds keeper at a cemetery, always wondered why they didn't have a problem.

It's not that it's toxic, they can't digest the gum, so it clogs their system and makes them unable to eat and they die.
I don't like gophers, and I kill quite a few of them, but I wouldn't try to kill them with gum...that sounds needlessly cruel to me.
