Growing 2 autos in a 2x2x4?

So I just ordered some Girl Scout Cookies Auto from fastbuds along with Fastberry from fastbuds.

I'm 4 weeks away from my first harvest ever! Currently growing 2x SoMango photoperiod plants in my 2x2x4 in 3gal smartpots. They stand short at only 15-16" tall right now.

I plan to start these two news strains as soon as I get them in the mail next week.

I wanted to switch it up and try some autos, I was thinking of growing 1x of each in 3gal pots, just like my current grow. But since I do not have control over veg time, and I will not be topping them only lst I'm a little worried on how big they could get.

I'm only running one 300w viparspectra LED in my 2x2x4. so I know they can't get crazy big to begin with.

So should I do one plant at a time in a 5-7gal pot or do you guys think 2 would be fine in 3gal pots?

I've done 3 plants(3gals) 2 plants and 1 plant in a 2x2. 1 plant scrogged in a 5gal or 7 gal low profile pot would be great for that space. Congrats to the upcoming harvest!

Thanks, does the difference between a 3gal pot and a 5gal pot make a huge difference on how big they will get as being that they're autos?
I want to get the most yeild possible, but if I can get the same amount from one auto in a 5-7 gal pot as 2 in 3gal pots, might as well only do one.
I know if I was doing another photo that would easily be the case, but I'm not studied up or fimilar with autos. Also what do you mean as in a "low profile pot" lol. Sorry I'm new.

Id you grow in coco than 2-3 gal is all you need. 7 gal is a waste on autos and 5 is pushing it for plants that genetically grow 2 to 3 feet.

I do plan on growing in coco, I am switching from soil/photos to coco/autos for a change, then my third grow I will be doing photos in coco or possibly making a dwc set up. I will be using coco for one auto and the other auto in soil. as my first grow going right now is in soil. I have enough happy frog soil and perlite left for about a 3gal pot. So I emight as well use it all up.
Not a huge fan of autos since I like to control the plant as much as possible, but why not give them a try since I'm 100% new.

Ive grown to find out that 1 plant in a 2x2 in a 3 gal pot I had 16 colas chopped early at week 6 pulled 3 zips. Had 2 in 3 gals and pulled the same but took to 10 weeks flower. Can hit a QP which I think is a standard quantity for a 2x2. Its All in the training to fill your space inch by inch. 1 photoperiod in a 7 gal srogged wall to wall will give maximum budsites and help control your grow to an even canopy. you could hit over a qp. For an auto I'd start in a solo and final uppot to a 3 gal with 2plants would be ideal but 3 would work also. Can't really do much with autos as far as multiple toppings.

Well my two somango's I'm growing right now are looking great, I'm hoping to get 3-4 oz from both plants, my tent is pretty packed lol
I have 12 main tops on one plant, and the other plant has 8 main tops to total at 20 main tops in my 2x2x4. Like I said they're only 15-16" tall and just started budding a week ago. Today is week 4 day 3 into 12/12. Had to keep them short due to only having about 16-18" to work with from the base of the soil. If I would of known before I would of got a bigger tent, which I plan on buying a 4x2x6 soon.
I just topped/lst/defoliated these two although my next photo grow I'm going to do 1 5-7gal pot with a scrog.

I guess I'm just going to grow both the girl scout cookies and fastberry in 3gal pots at the same time, keep the same kind of grow going as what I got going on now. Hopefully they don't get too big...

Id do coco in 2-3 gal and if youre doing a side by side(same strain) do 1 in 5 gal soil. I top my autos. If by day 21 you have 5 healthy nodes you can top with time to spare before flower starts. Myths about autos are just that. They can be topped, transplanted, lst/leaf tucked.

I'm growing a gsc as well, definitely not a big yeilder as I've heard. Lol I've had plants about that size lol. Even 13inch from top soil, flat as fk

I'm doing side by side but not of the same strain, one gsc and one fastberry.
One in coco and one in soil.

4 plants 3 gal pots, top @ 2nd or 3rd node,sog or scrog. QP/plant=1lb
That seems to be pushing it on pot size, I could see cramming 3 3gal smartpots in a 2x2, but 4...?

Seems like it would be a larger radius than 2x2 and would push the tent.
Like Rolla J said I could see 2gal pots or square pots yeah.

GSC is a low yeilder. Good as fk smoke though i hear. I have 7 Mephisto Fourm cut GSC x Sour Stomper from 420 collection.

But pushing 4 inthat space would help keep them small. GSC is a small yeilder even in photos and not sure what Fastberry is but if it's Blueberry genetics they are usually small too.

Well I'm debating on ordering some Bloody Skunk Auto or/and Dark Devil Autos tomorrow, not sure which.

And grow 1-2 of those in with the gsc and fastberry...

They make pots in every shape, size and color. 3 gal squares are 10in wide.
I'll look into 3gal square pots. Thanks man.
