Sanders record is spotless and he’s been in government for 40 years.

He doesn’t take any money.

People like Booker, Gillibrand are already taking money.

Follow the money..follow the money..follow the..[/QUOT
.

people should check into the the candidates voting record on bills/list of donors/groups they align themselves with.. before deciding to cost a vote for him/her at the box

That would work if the primaries weren't rigged to only offer candidates who are vetted by the rich first.

Do you think it would be wise for anyone claiming to wanna change the status quo to run under the two party system{dem or rep}?

Sanders tried it and proved they are corrupt.

Honestly, it's a tough question. A third party is all but statutorily prohibited in many places, specifically in order to protect their political oligarchy.

Spotless record?

Bernie Sanders Loves This $1 Trillion War Machine
The socialist trumpets his antiwar record. But he doesn’t mind expensive war machines—if they’re based in his home state.

How many times did Bernard voted against the Brady Bill, 5?
Bernie Sanders, Gun Nut
http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/jurisprudence/2015/05/bernie_sanders_on_guns_vermont_independent_voted_against_gun_control_for.html

Did Bernie Sanders vote against background checks and waiting periods for gun purchases?
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2015/jul/10/generation-forward-pac/did-bernie-sanders-vote-against-background-checks-/

That time Bernie Sanders voted for Bill Clinton's plan to loosen regulation on Wall Street
https://www.cnn.com/2016/01/17/politics/bernie-sanders-wall-street-deregulation-debate/index.html

He voted for funding the Commodity Futures “Modernization” Act which deregulated commercial banks and created an “unregulated market in derivatives and swaps” which was the major contributor to the 2007 economic crisis.

He doesn't take money?

He took over $30,000 from defense contractor Raytheon.

https://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/recips.php?cycle=2016&id=D000000175

He'll probably need to take more, now that:

Monthly online fundraising totals, for Our Revolution, have plummeted to just one-third of the group's take a year ago, based on an analysis of processing fees reported to the IRS by Act Blue, the tool Our Revolution uses, and verified by several people familiar with its finances.

Amid the poor fundraising, Our Revolution earlier this month filed paperwork to launch a PAC so Sanders can help it raise money directly and so the group can coordinate directly with campaigns.

Should I keep following the money, or did I follow too far?

The biggest problem I have with any of these comments is...I saved for 35 years to get to where i am now. I quit drinking and smoking weed and cigs for 20 years to build up my savings and retirement plan and buy a house. I am now a 5%er and Bernie is in the 1%. Why in the fuck should I be impugned because others will not sacrifice as I did?

Young people today.....sheesh.

Easy to say eh. But it is the attitude of anyone that has given up a lot to get here. We put our kids through school, we pay our taxes. Everything that changes results in me being somehow rich and robin hood economics asks for more.

I am just providing a different mind set. Bash away.

Next year I retire at 55. I started work at 17. I have earned it and paid the price to get it. 10% a year for 38 years.

Perhaps it is a generational thing and I truly do not understand. I will give you that. But we do not get it (we being the people that saved our asses off to get a nest egg).

I disagree. There are a lot of good, qualified people who would be happy to step up and serve their country.

The problem is a system that is very good at not letting them.

Government can't serve anybody if it first assumes consent when none is given.

That's like raping a stranger and asking if she wants to go out for ice cream afterwards.

You have to be the absolute dumbest sack of potatoes on this site.

Not one fucking anti government, anti law, anti tax idea you've ever posted works in the real world.

If not for laws and the gov't. protection you enjoy, somebody would have rolled and shot you years ago. Go back to 1100 AD and see if you survive the week.

What's your problem? You are going to be fine.

There are plenty of reasons why people didn't make it to a comfortable retirement. It's not a moral failing in most cases. In the states, about half or more bankruptcies are caused by a health crisis. Way too many people lose a good job and never find another job that pays anywhere near it. Talk about a financial tragedy. Then again, the median wage in the US is $35,000. How could a single Mom or Dad raise two kids, put them through college and save for a retirement on that?

I looked in wonderment at people who, just before the financial crisis in 2008-09, when we were in a housing bubble, refinanced and spent the equity on a motor home. I shook my head in wonder because I'd never do that. Absolutely there are people who make bad financial decisions. Not my decision, not my place to judge either.

For many the system simply doesn't work out for them. I'm glad for you that you made it. I simply don't understand why that gives you the right to comment about others.

Times like these I remember the difference between our countries. I forgot about the debilitating cost of health care there should an operation be needed.

;)

We have a very different goverment and we have an election 1 week Monday for Premier of Ontario. Lots of hands out. Lots of free promises. It agitated me but has little bearing on the USA.

Free tuition, free dental care free prescriptions etc....well not free. billions of tax dollars. In 10 days it will all be over and I might even stop ranting :D Stranger things have happened.
