Doesn't matter which drug is better. Or worse. They're both bad for children. To say otherwise is irresponsible.
I never said it wasn't bad for children. Just saying that raising the price will only encourage the black market and do nothing to keep it away from kids.

Parents aren't responsible with the booze or prescription drugs so little Johnie won't have any problem scooping some of daddy's stash or getting big brother to score him some or just go see the dealer on the corner for cheaper pot.

We already have a huge trade in illegal booze, tobacco and drugs of all kinds and increasing penalties has done nothing to even put a dent in it.

It's a money grab and a change of the guard. Same thing will happen in Australia and everywhere else when the market opens.

I haven't had to buy pot for 30 years and I won't be buying any of the 'legal' pot either.

I realize what you are saying. But high prices on things, makes them very hard for kids to afford.

I knew my mum and dad smoked pot, before I was even 10.
The smell of hanging plants is always a memory full of nostalgia for me.
They never smoked it indoors infront of us. But we all knew what it was, and that it wasn't a good thing to have. Because it's what they told us.
We weren't told not to try it, at all. But just to wait. When a kid is told something like that. If they respect their parents, then they listen.
If my folks told me it was the devil, and that I couldn't have any at all. But I saw them getting high, and stoned.Faaaark the temptation and curiosity would have made me try it a lot sooner.

I only got pissed a couple times, when I was underage. Didn't like it.
I think it's kind of for the same reasons too. My Father would regularly drink 2 glasses of beer at dinner time. I was told if I was responsible, I could have a small glass at the table too.
I've been proper drunk about 6.times in my life. Last of which was about 5yrs ago.

BTW
Little Johny is an irresponsible little shit. That shouldn't be stealing from his parents. If he respected his parents at all, then he wouldn't steal from them, in the first place.

Drug education is key.
They also need to be harder to get for minors.
Also leading by example.

It's even good for it, to still be taboo.
Just like crack, meth or heroin. Alcohol is no exception.

Let's be honest. Not only is growing your own insanely satisfying, but there's a completely other type of satisfaction of growing some killer shit that you grew with your own skills. Not just pride...... but something else. Just like eating a fish you caught, a car you restored, etc.
The best part is other people flipping out over it not knowing you grew it

raising children right is a key, and it's done so very little these days. people let their kids get away with stuff in public that would have gotten my ass beat on the spot.
they put up with disrespect, disobedience, and rudeness. what do you expect children that have never been properly disciplined to act like? it's parent's responsibility to raise decent kids, and most of them aren't doing it.

100%

It aint easy neither. The little fuckers will flat wear you out. I've got teenage sons and I mean to tell ya....

I strongly believe that children nowadays need to have the cord cut regularly. Get the tech out of their hands and move their asses out of WiFi range. I like to take my sons camping, that's where the magic happens. Otherwise you simply cannot compete for their attention.

I worry about how they're gonna be growing up bombarded with bits and bytes around the clock, but not about weed. They know the score; it's medicine. And ya never fool around with medicine.

Also, the little shits are more focused on trying to find the next girl to get turned down by, than weed.

Knuckleheads, yep. Potheads? Maybe someday, but right now it ain't so.

Me and my wife are both prior military, I’m originally from the south so you can bet your ass my kids are well behaved. They both say yes ma’am no ma’am and all that. My youngest is 4. My oldest is 9 neither misbehave and always get complimented on how well mannered they are.
