Help with 9lb. Blackberry Plant

Hello all, I am fairly new to growing. I've had one successful grow and am having problems with this 9lb. Blackberry Plant. I just starting using a 250watt HPS light and was barely watering until yesterday (was trying anything), when I watered. I used fish emulsion once about a week and a half ago. Every morning for the past three days, the plant is drooping when I check on it in the AM. By the end of the day, it is back up. I've had it on 24 hrs light so far. I'm about 3 weeks in the veg stage. Please, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Leaves are dark and light green. Pictures were with HPS light on. I will upload new pics without the light if it will help.

Thank youkg19lQGTR421u%ruJ40GkA.jpgxm18VyQRSWWodL9gDwZ80g.jpg7VZ00AWkSfyesjmDhcdtkg.jpgkg19lQGTR421u%ruJ40GkA.jpg

Nothing special. It is a compost and soil mix from a place my stepson works. They sell bulk dirt, top soil, mulch, stuff like that. This is one of there better mixes. No idea of nutrient levels and stuff like that

If you have a timer for your light I'd make run 18 on 6 off and make it so it's off when it's been droopy for you. So off 8am and back on at 2pm.

Are you thinking they need rest? I did notice some purplish coloring in the stem. Maybe inherent to the strain?

That soil's pretty woody and it looks like she's not getting something from it.
Maybe because you're not watering enough. Or the soil PH could be off. Or it's just not in there.
Thats my guess. It doesnt look too bad in the second set of pics.

I'd use something cannabis-centric when you pot up.
Foxfarm. Roots Organic. Even Black Magic from Home Depot. All readily available.
Something with perlite (doesn't seem to be any in yours).
And you will likely have to supplement a few weeks after planting in bagged soil.

trust me when i say ive seen this issue before and the way it was rectified was letting the plant sleep try it for one night with the light off see what happens
Im going to try this tonight and hope for the best. I thought that it could possibly need rest, but my previous (only other grow) I did 24 hrs. of light at first and it worked great. Thank for the advice.

Thanks for all the advice and knowledge drsaltzman. I’ll probably be picking up some of the fox farm as that seems to be a reputable soil. Thanks again.
