Roadkill Skunk

Im interested in seeking out a good example of a "roadkill" type skunk strain.
Im familiar with the different skunk varieties (superskunk, skunk #1 & hybrids), however it all seems to be a more sweeter smell then the shit folks were smokin in the 80s & through the 90s, which was a true "putrid rotten dead skunk" smell & got you lit beyond oblivion.....

Ive searched a few threads & found a few leads....that really led to nowhere & the threads just seemed outdated as there wasnt any info newer than 2011....

Anybody like to chime in?

Got some bodhi appalachian superskunk going right now thats pretty pungent smelling. Got that mass superskunk mom. I also run top dawg super stardawg with the same mom but does not have that skunky funk. Like berry scented anti-freeze with diesel. Me and my girl were squeezin buds on an appy ss plant on day 42 tonight to describe its smell. We put our heads together and came up with pungent skunky funk with evergreen, gear oil and what im going with as a subtle hint of stone fruit.

Riot was working The Roadkill line pretty hard.

He and a cpl others were searching for the old school, real deal "Roadkill/skunk spray" pheno......Says that he popped beans 10 years into the hunt,,,,and found them.....If it's "roadkill" in the mix - "it" came from him to the "others"....

Your going to pay up for them!

3 pages of roadkill work - Roadkill Afghani S1's on page 2......1 set left - good luck

Not exactly what your looking for OP.....But a nice suggestion on another stinky pheno of skunk.

I had the "dogshit" pheno for years......Nice's "shit" ain't quite that either.......

You could open a bag of DS pheno skunk in a room and in the next rooms people would think a dog literally took a shit...

Your looking for that "Baked in the sun, dead thing stink". The other side of that coin would be the "Skunk spray" stanky pheno..

Chemy, You got me interested but, the idea of buying a shit ton of regulars (from backed genetics) and doing a pheno hunt for that exact DS pheno,,,,,is not in play for the return quality......Too many new things to work.

Starting a journal on the Japanese strain - Shiatsu Kush later today. Bean to finish - first full on grow journal....not a big fan of posting pics......But, why not....The floor will always be cement too - :roll:

thats exactly how I'd describe that strain I grew. I know it was grown with DM Gold in a ebb/flow under 1k hps and 1k mh finished under the 10kuv. I dont need that bulb anymore but that was during the time that I thought I did. I bought one pack , flowered the fems and all were nasty funk and two were what we were seeking. It really was dog shit smelling. so curiously nasty one had to sample it.Even growing it seemed like something went awry with the stench of rotting shit. Outgrown by this time but well worth the funz for the conno

thats still not the Skunk I went wonky about though. In the 80's I saw it with long colas, sting on the nose, no stink just skunk. Came on big sticks in wrapped wax/black plastic to me. @shorelineOG has it he says it.....I'm waiting patiently, wish he'd send me a few during.....

I have a lemon skunk from DNA thats just barely out of the seedling stage and it smells exactly like a ran over skunk. That slight lemon + super musty smell. I'm super surprised by the odor this early.

Bean prices are a personal subjective. If you want a certain something to work into a line....You can have to pay for it....
I kinda moved towards clone hunting for some of my needs... Lot easier to get the exact thing your looking for - ie, no pheno hunting....
