Mega Crop for Coco?

Which brand of nutes are you currently using for your coco grow?
Jacks hydropic, calcium nitrate, and Epsom salt pH stays stable and I don't have to adjust with my tap water and no smell. megacrop worked great for me in veg but not so good in flower but I didn't use much more than the recommended dosage. If you have to feed triple what they recommend it's not really that cheap to use so I switched back to jacks. That being said I probably could have learned to use megacrop over a couple grows and would have better results just not worth the learning curve for me.

How much are you feeding per gallon with Jacks?

3.6g of the jacks hydroponic 2.4g of calcium nitrate 1.2g Epsom salt I do that feed from rooted clone to late flower the last couple feedings I don't use the calcium nitrate or I use it at half strength

It did not work well for me in coco I know a couple other people in coco didn't like it but it seems to work great for a lot of people. It smells really bad and has crazy pH swings if you leave it in your res more than a day. Also if your running alot of light you have to use more than the recommended dosage.
I use only 3 grams, never had ph swings my ph is steady as a rock in my rez. As for light I run 6k.

Maybe I got a bad batch my pH would go from 6-7 in less than 24 hours
Depending on the quality of water your using and the type of ph adjusters you use can impact the ph swing. I use only my well water add my nutrients to my first Rez (55 gallon) which is my holding tank and adjust after they sit and mix for 24 hrs I check again if all is well it gets transferred to the main 55 gallon and into the system. There it sits for a minimum of three weeks before I change it. That time it’ll change .2 in that time.

Well I think I already like the Mega Crop. I just mixed my first batch with some 24 hour water (habit from working with aquariums, helps get the chlorine out) and I went to PH test it (I use the GenHydro liquid test kit ) and it came out yellow (around 6.0).

I re tested to make sure, if those readings are accurate it's great because I hate PHing water and having to test every mix.

I should also mention I hand water so I'm not worried about resevoir fluctuations. I'll keep you informed on how the plants like it.

I also have some (rare) Citron seedlings I'm going to feed them this as well but I'm cutting the feed with plain RO water. Real Citron seeds are pretty hard to come by and even harder to sprout but by some miracle a few sprouted and I transplanted them in to coco and they are growing alright. Won't get any fruit for at least 4 years but hey, it's still fun.

They recommend using 100-ish degree water to dissolve MC completely.

I had to test.... tried extreme agitation in 70-ish degree water.
It seemed to dissolve, but after letting it settle for 5 minutes it was obvious from the cloudy sediment, I needed to use hot water.

Coco - I'm using 5.5gr MC + 2gr GLN's calmag per Gallon in week3. DTW.

I use my well water which comes out about 54 degrees when it's in my holding tank I have e a small pump that runs a hose up to the top and waterfalls back in. So it mixes for 24 hrs like that. Plus the pump helps it reach room temp. I don't like giving my ladies the shocker lmao.

My bad for leaving this out.
I dissolve MC in about 10 ounces of hot water. Then add to resevoir.

100 degree waterings, lol? No, let's up that to triple face palm.

That's 5.5 g MC+ 2g cal mag under LED / heavy lighting without issue?

Cheers for all the feedback lads I'd tag you all if I could but it's greatly appreciated.

I'll give it a go, I just flipped to 12/12 and flushed cause I was getting calmag symptoms (I only get calmag spotting when I get salt from not flushing) so I figure now is a good time to try it out.
you should not need to flush if you feed and get 20% run off
why after you flush are you JUST giving them cal/mag ?

i run 60/40 coco/perlite, hand watered. mega crop + tap water, no cal-mag and never had a def.

i start out at 5g/gal with seedlings and raise it every week or 2 and peak about 17g/gal by mid flower. just keep increasing it til you see a little tip burn then back off.
17g/gallon sounds incredibly strong. it's around 100ppm's/gram/gallon, that's a whole lot of salt there.

I don't get runoff when I feed so I flush.

And I don't feed just calmag after flushing I feed normally, but when I flush when there are calmag issues I add 5ml of calmag to the tap water.

I've been growing in coco for 3 years now. Getting good yields and limited problems and have been flushing since the start.

The amount of "help me" coco threads I've seen because people simply don't flush just confirms a nice little flush every few feeds helps a lot.

So I'm not bothered.
