I am looking at new places to move to and some have all utilities included. These are normally large complexes. I have a small system with that runs about 2000 watts. Pros and cons of a places that included electricity?

They will notice the increase in electricity consumption... You'd better have something else in your house that uses a lot of energy... It's always good to pay your own electric,in my opinion, when you're doing something like growing weed in your house, feel me? There is no pros in having the landlord paying your bills cause they are going to start asking questions about the bills, flat out... If they even suspect that you're doing something wrong... Here comes the feds!!! Trust me, I speak from experience!!!

Agreed.

2000W total, or just the lights?

Back in the 90s I did a small grew in a 4x4 in an apt that had utilities paid. 4 plants. 1 x 400W HPS + 4x Actual 100W CFLs. It was always sketchy.

I'm in I.T., so I could use computers/electronics as an excuse.

That’s too much of a jump and may raise some eyebrows.
Cut wattage down to 600 watts
And grow as efficient as possible to get max yeilds
If your paying your own electric grow on with that 2000 watts!!!

I wouldn’t grow in a complex or any place that was rented honestly. Especially if electricity was included. 2000 Watts is not small imo when it comes to stealth. Good leds can really save you electricity not only in light consumption but cooling also. If I was a complex owner or manager and I had a tenant that was using quit a bit more power then any other unit I would eventually investigate it to see if there was an issue. At my company when we have unusual energy consumption whe go through it with an IR gun to see where the potential wanted drain is.
