How many places in the us have enacted a single gun restriction and stopped there? That's your slippery slope... look at ca and Chicago if u need specific examples.
It's a terrible thing, that democracy, isn't it? Where the majority got tired of a self entitled white gun culture that didn't care how many died so long as they could have their gunz.

The majority passes gun control laws because you gun owners haven't taken responsibility for cleaning up your own mess.

Your at position 31 out of 194 as of 2016. Take look at the ones that are higher and then compare them to you. I would hope the US would/could do better. Comparing the likes of Afghanistan, and Nicaragua and say magnitudes ahead really isn’t saying much IMO. I’m not saying that gun banning is the answer though, you guys have gone way beyond gun control as a remedy. Honestly I think your fucked and it is what is. Raising the age of ownership is not going to help. We have a mentoring program here that allows 12 year olds to hunt using the mentors gun. I think that is a great thing to teach kids. We have a weeks worth of mandatory training before a written and practical exam starting at 15. Then we are allowed to hunt. We are allowed to buy a gun at 18. Handguns are only allowed if a member of a club and must be locked down and ammo stored separately until at the club. Assault rifles are restricted weapons. For me to buy a unregistered handgun would set me back about $500 for a piece of shit, not many kids can access them. How much is one in the States?

Also the United States is nowhere near the top for gun homicides per 100,000 people. Your media likes to portray that fact that we are the worst of the worst. There are far more countries that outrank the United States in that category. By orders of magnitude higher.
we are many times worse off in terms of gun homicides/100k people when compared to other developed countries.

Every developed nation other than the US has gun control laws and compared to the US, they have practically no mass shootings, very, very low rates of gun murders and very low rates of non-suicide unintentional shootings.

I'm OK with gun owners shooting themselves so I don't care about that statistic.

Except they do have mass murder, mass casualty events still.. and it's usually by a knife wielding maniac. The uK has almost twice as much violent crime as the U.S.

Oh yeah. LOL

NRA morons love that propaganda.

Completely stupid and beyond argument. Just think if all those knife wielders had a semi-automatic instead. UK did the right thing banning guns. The US should learn from them.

It just goes to show you that people are going to kill people no matter the methods. You're an idiot if you think murders will stop, especially gun deaths. Like I said. Australia has gun control. They had a 25% decrease in gun related homicides.. 350 down to 250. Such a massive number. If the U.S. followed suit, we would still have 8500 gun homicides

Could say the same about you fucks who want the guns gone. And it's the minority not the majority, sorry as much as you would love to think you are the majority of America, it's not true, or you would have more gun control
I'm not surprised that you are misinformed about your minority position in our society. 65% of all households in the US don't own a gun. Coincidentally, 65% of people in this country want stiffer gun control laws.

We are just talking about restricting sales not eliminating them. There are already 350 million guns in this country. I have no idea what you all are doing with them or why you want ,more. I mean if the first 10 guns didn't make you happy why do you think the eleventh would?

Also, lock those things up. That's another piece of the Assault Weapons Ban of 2018 act.

Lmao show me that poll. I'd love to see it. Guaranteed it's out of 1200 polled people, so 1200 people account for 65% of people, my ass. Especially from the News media. They have been shown time and time again to be biased and poll who they want. So please show me that they polled 200million Americans

Yes, UK has a problem with violence. Knives are harder to use, require the attacker get close to the victim, do less damage that is easier to treat.

The Las Vegas shooter wouldn't have done much damage using a knife.

So, tell me wise guy. Before Australia enacted a gun ban, they had 5 mass shootings. Since 1996, do you know how many there have been?

none

Australia also has a hugely smaller population, that's just statistics.
