Well I fucked up royally.. I am 3 months into my first indoor grow after being an outdoor grower and laying out 2k and building an indoor grow area.. timber lights , grow tent, all the good shit.. 2 weeks ago i was out checking my girls and all was cool. Next day after work i went to check on them and it was 107 degrees in my tent.. it had dipped as low as 54 degrees the night before.
I had inadvertently hit the temp control on my heater while in there watering and didnt notice.. my plants were fried.. i tried for 2 weeks to save them.. they just couldnt recover and i had to cut them down yesterday. I feel like an idiot but just had to tell someone.. really took the wind out of my sail.. one stupid mistake and everything gone.. learn from my mistake and be extra careful around your plants..
Peace..

That's a bummer.
I have a portable ac wedged in my walkway and my butt cheek closes the vent constantly. Its literally part of my routine to check it before I leave the room.

Anyway sorry about your luck

Thanks char.. just cant believe i could do something so dumb after all the careful planning and preparation .. especially after taking 2 years trying to move inside..blew my shoulder out while building my grow room and couldnt do anything for a year.. and now i have fucked myself over again.

I'm surprised that 107 killed them.

Root zone temp is important. It hits well over a 100 here and most strains take it but they are planted in the ground. Roots are cool.

Invest in a high temp alarm or cutoff as stated.

Try to insulate the pots so roots stay cool longer if something happens.

Sorry to hear about the bad luck.

In order to make an omelet you have to break some eggs... pick yourself up and keep growing!!!when growing indoors you can always start over!!! That's what's so great about it, you're always in season!!!

We have all been there bro, it sucks but it happens. Ive had my ac units one one breaker while my lights were on 220v, the ac breaker popped, temps went to 120 mid flower, everything drooped and streched out to larff.. it sucked. That was like a 6kw grow. Its actually happened to ke a few times over the years wuere something totally fucked me. One time my co2 tank dumped and killed the whole room.
From every mistake is a chance to learn though an thats how we get better

Have two of these as well, work great. I like how it has a long temp sensor, put it just about anywhere. .
