FDA To Recommend International Descheduling Of Cannabis!!!

I just hope it doesn't lead to patent wars and all that other non sense

Under most "legalization" schemes it becomes a win-win for the police state.

They get to tax it at whichever percent they want.
They get to reward their friends with protectionist regulation which grows the police state and earns them some kickbacks.

They still get to go after "bad guys" if they feel like it, by keeping it criminal to grow more than X number of plants, failure to pay them money or some other silly infraction, thus ensuring there will be black market "criminals" to pursue, fine and incarcerate.

Fuck legalization if it includes taxation and regulation. It's a scam.

Rescheduling IMO puts the ball squarely in the states corner. If it drops to a misdemeanor on a fed level it probably isn't worth the time for the alphabet agencies.

At the state level it would be foolish to keep running helichoppers up to find outdoor grows, expend funds to keep folks locked up, pay for long expensive trials, among other costs. So it gives local LE a good excuse to redirect all of their WOD money.

I think this is a "soft" way out for govy to get out from under a hugely unpopular and failed resource drain without actually surrendering.

Any decriminalization efforts will only change the style of boot on growers throats.

big pharma
big tobacco
big alcohol
law enforcement keeping drug bust proceeds
prison industrial complex

what are these poor fuckers to do under legalization? ^^^^^^
They are all getting a piece.

Big tobacco will be releasing 2% thc cigs that will be non addictive and even a "healthy"alternative to cigarettes.

Big alcohol will be releasing thc wine cooler drinks for the young adult market (aka teen)

Big Pharma will be selling their own approved pain creams based on old family recipes which they will buy from a well established grower with street cred.

Law enforcement will divert some of the savings into raises and newer equipment and weaponry to fight a new made up threat.

Prison industrial complex will still be full of methheads.

Legalisation is an idea whose time has come and paradoxically in spite of Trump and the current US political situation, it's moving forward. Most other countries have single payer or government funded health care and many are excited about the potential of cannabis for saving enormous amounts of money, especially when it comes to treating older people. The older you are the better cannabis is for you, here is an example of some research that has now moved to clinical trials with humans concerning not just Alzheimer's disease but a spectrum of neurodegenerative conditions prevalent in the elderly.

This study was published in NATURE MEDICINE, so it is serious stuff.

Assuming success in the human clinical trials, even ole Jeff sessions will be getting high.

Cannabis reverses aging processes in the brain, study suggests

Researchers restore the memory performance of Methuselah mice to a juvenile stage

Date: May 8, 2017
Source: University of Bonn

Summary:
Memory performance decreases with increasing age. Cannabis can reverse these ageing processes in the brain. This was shown in mice by scientists at the University of Bonn with their colleagues at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel). Old animals were able to regress to the state of two-month-old mice with a prolonged low-dose treatment with a cannabis active ingredient. This opens up new options, for instance, when it comes to treating dementia.
