Any experience with Gorilla Glue #4?

Thanks Dr... Yeah it is the original Joey Wales cut, not an S1s. I have 4 gg4s in my room. I will let some go around 65 days and the other for 10 weeks and see which I and my clients favor the most.

I am just a couple weeks into flower of Nirvana's GG#4. My observations so far is that she's a big drinker, tolerant to nutes, loves Calcium and Magnesium, and stretches like a mofo.
That's a "re-build"... Not an original, real deal....
Sorry...

Yet, it should be pretty good....If you got the dime. Have it tested and let us know where it fell in (THC % wise).

Hydro red, has quite a bit of knowledge on the strain.
I have spoken with him some. Me and HydroRed are pretty good buddies. I believe he is also one of the ones who recommended 64 days, but don't hold me to it...

I have finally made a decision though. I'm gonna pull 3 on day 65 or around there depending on my own observations. Then I will pull the other 3 around 10 weeks and then between me and my clients, we will choose from there when we should take her from now on out.

The 4 in the center are my GG#4. For me I find 65 days to be a correct time frame for harvest. Almost a pound from the 4 plants with a 21 day veg from 750 watts of DE HPS.View attachment 4101754 View attachment 4101755
The earlier finish is due to your higher use of P then I...

P is a "ripening" nutrient. Your plants show that, and accounts for the earlier finish....

Easy peasy answer....

You ever get the results tested J?
Interested in that answer/result....
I'll up my P in the last 2 weeks a bit. Helps them get a pos. finish...

Many nutrient lines go for higher P then I like. It tends to blunt the potentials some...

Moderate P, balanced with K. K supplemented at 6% till the last 3 weeks and the Ca and P is raised a bit (N dropped by 25% and another 25% at the last week). Better finish results. Longer run time but, the payoff is worth the fuss (in my book).

Trich production looks normal. Could be boosted a bit but, that's a personal choice in supplementing for that....

NICE plants BTW!

I've had glue for 3 years. I run it 70 days for full potency. I've ran it 60, 65, 67, 70, 75 but it's the best at 70. 67 days its got a little more flavor then 70 but it's missing a little kick.

Come on DR. you should know how I run by now. I've always been a minimalist when it comes to nutrient use or additives. I'm proabably one of the lightest feeders in here with 350-400 ppm (0.7-0.8 ec) veg feeds and flowering topping out at 400-450 ppm (0.8-0.9 ec) so we are only looking at a 50 ppm increase in P from veg to flower.

Sorry Dr. , no testing done on any of my strains. Have spent most of my life growing in unfriendly states.
I sort of let my clientele tell me what they like!

You guys are definitely creating some fiery buds! I got turned off from introducing clones a few years ago so I haven't gotten to grow gg4... It is a beauty though! I did manage to pop a Gorilla Bomb that seems to replicate GG4's incredible bud structure pretty well... Not having grown GG4, I can't tell how close. The rosin reminds me of gg4 rosin and a crude test suggests it cracks 20% overall THC... That's good for me! Great job!

I know but it's still the relationship between the nutrients that form any balance level and expression by amount of each.....per amounts used.... Buffering ability of some things to others and of course pH values....

Easy to see that your earlier finish is in line to your nutrient availability ratio's......DAMN nice job for 65 days.....

Those shots where at day 50 since flip, still had 2+ weeks before chop.

You all need to realize some things:

1: The difference in environments that the plant grows in. Can be a big part of any longer or shorter run time,
A: The environment that the breeder did his work in. IS different then yours!

2: The use of any different feed, additive or supplement. Can drastically alter the run time's by just what is fed, how it's feed and in what amounts. (Look at what I said to jarvild. Take that to heart)

The plant has NO "set" sch. it has to meet on a daily basis! So many things can create a change in any recommended or better put estimated run time in days!
I see so many of you coming into this post and saying firmly "X" amount of days......It just won't work that way! Grower to grower variables make any call of "days to finish" as rather a broad shot in the dark.

The real key is to find how to look at plants and "know" what "done" is!
To many variables to say your time, will be someone else's time... THIS is what I'm trying to say...

Want to shoot for potentials?
Learn how to run longer without yellowing your plant out! Learn to drop the N and K properly, and the same for supplements and when to up the P and to some point Ca.....
You'll get better results.....And there kiddies, is a whole growing style unto it's self....

Getting off the nutrient makers sch. and into doing what the plant (and even strain) really wants, and needs. Is the true "art" of growing.....Get off the train. Get out of the pack. Leave the herd!

LEARN what the plant wants, and push her to do it!

NOW you all understand why I say,,,,"I don't keep track of time in bloom." You know I finally, after years of not having one. I put up a calendar in my grow building!

But,,,guess why? Not for timing bloom! It's for the work I'm doing in experimenting with TM-7 and Fe/Mn for THC manipulation....Gotta count those days accurately...

Now go forth and find out what "works best for you!"

ANY estimate to finish by a breeder is a 2 week swing either way..maybe more! You'll figure that out one day....trust me...

No disagreement on what your saying but coming on here and telling people about their faults in growing without knowing their parameters is hypocritical.
