Even when your not limited on height the trellis is nice because it holds your buds up so they dont flop over. Or even the whole plant if your in grow rocks. I usually grow em up to about 2 n a half or 3 feet and flip the lights. I cant say ive measured to be honest.. Then i trellis in the beginning of flower while they stretch so you can keep bending em down without a fight. Sometimes ill trellis sooner if branches are shooting up too fast.

THis is true. Unfortunately it is not true when comparing soil to hydro. With 5 gallon buckets ill produce much more in hydro. Also veg time is the biggest factor in yield my good sir.
Of course if you're comparing 5 gal hydro vs 5 gal dirt. However he has 2.5 gal hydro vs 5 gal dirt which he was using before. This is why I was saying he is in for a surprise when I think he will yield less in his hydro setup vs his dirt.

Major canopy attention how? Cut out big leaves? Idk. Cut bigger fan leaves?
Your canopy should be even across. You have one main stem and everything else is lower. Those lower buds are not getting the same amount of light. Ideally indoor you want a even canopy so all parts of the canopy get even light and produce more buds

No one has 2.5 gallon buckets lol he has 3.5 gallon buckets. He uses what i use and my current setup is on par with my old 7 gallon dirt grows. The problem is being root bound. With hydro my roots still have room after being in the same 3.5 gallon bucket for 4 months. That could never happen in dirt. With that being said i bet i could still bang out a nice 3 footer in a small 2.5 gallon bucket

HIs lower plant stalks still get the exact same amount of light as long as they arnt shaded unless of course you are in a hot spot or directly under your light. By bending the stem over the plant redirects its energy or auxins to the lower growth to allow for an even conopy which will yield better then a xmas tree style grow

Check out cali crop doc on youtube hes got a similar syle of growing that you can relate to as far as plant height and using a trellis. Great to watch as well. Also check out brownguy420 on youtube. Im 26 now but my first scrog was when i was 15 or 16 i cant remember but everything i learned was from experience and the internet lmao

Next go Ima lollipop and scog, seems legit.
Here ya go .. I did most of this today took awhile but i got it all picture ready. This looked nothing like this 4 hours ago. No trellis and more green. I was gonna do a root picture but i forgot. I still can if anyone wants to see them. They were all just growing regular with lots of green. I filled a bit less then a regular kitchen size garbage can with lower leaves and branches. Also I bought a Camera so no more shitty cell phone pictures! Pretty Basic stuff. Now just wait 3 weeks and ill post the results up until then

I just use general hydros full line for the base and i add mammoth p and ill add terpinator when i flower. To be honest ive seen everything from advanced to current culture and i like them all when there used correctly. If the plant has optimal conditions nutrient brands only change the final results a little. At least from my experiance. Ive used over 7 different brands

Yeah I can't wait till next grow, this was a test run with the system. Never used ebb&flow. Always outdoor. So this is a very big change for me. I've watched so many videos, forums etc so I kinda have the basics... everything is going great just have to do some changes next time for better yields. Height control and lollipoping will pretty much clear my main issues. Plants are healthy, solid gorgeous green. Getting sooo icy, hairs are still wildly long and white. This is roughly 34 days flower, I say this because I forgot to write down the exact date I switch flower but I know what week I did it on so plus or minus a few days.

Agreed! I only take pics at night now because with those bright lights you can't see much but plush bushes. All three plants were random bag seeds for the trial run. All are definitely different kinds tho, from the looks.

Right on man good job and keep growing. The only way to get better is to never quit and keep learning. Ive been doing it for 10 years and always seem to learn more shit

Day 37'ish... getting icy and bigger. Trics are still milky.. kinda waiting for the auburn color... I'm sure prolly another 25-35 days. Plant leaves are starting to yellow and drying out crispy, in the first picture.

So far cut down two of the three. One plant is already in jars. I just cut another tonight. One is taking a little longer, about another week or so.
