when choosing a training method for my current grow I thought I would LST and Scrog. After much consideration I decided that LST would keep them short, too short IMHO for a Scrog if I wanted to begin that training without vegging for a few months. So, I decided to do some multi-topping to add to the Scrog instead of LST. That was the thought process for my grow...not a suggestion for yours.

Vostok is correct in saying the T5's are too distant to do much if any good at all. If your circuits and your wallet can take it...why not add another HID bulb? IMHO, the one 400w may not provide an optimum 'footprint' for 4 plants. Also, Vostok was correct in filling to the top of your containers. Personally, up to this grow I had used the white plastic grow bags, this time I am using smart pots...Love 'em!

K thanks I understand stomata somewhat now and have moved a fan to blow on my plants and I was just thinking that the t5s would be beneficial once the screen filled to supplement lighting for the outside buds budget isn't the problem I could afford to put another light but breakers won't handle it

Will fill buckets to top tomorrow was just thinking y worry about it when I'm chopping them in two weeks to make room for my others

Could put my 400 mh in the flower room with my hps and veg under 8x4ft t5s what would your suggestion be

With the multi topping vs lst how many times should I top it vs the 2x for later and screen is about 48x40 in

So what you all think put the mh n hps in the flower room

Well.have removed t5s built new hood added my 400mh to my 400 hps in flower room vegging under 4x4ft t5s for the night will be adding 4x4ft more t5s to the veg room tomorrow also filled pots all the way up

Looking good bro. Sorry it took me some time to swing by. Better late then never in my opinion and personal past experiences, the 400 would have been just fine for 4 plants. Hell I was running 8 plants with just 1 single 400 watt LED with a few added CFLS and did ok. Now I know I didn't get near as what I would've if I had more lumens but that's all I had at the time. 2 to 2 & a half zips per isn't bad. I like the t5s for vegging, hadn't really flowered with them. I'm working with a 1,000 watt MH/HPS system now in a 4x4x8 closet. I was planning on adding CFLS for side lighting, but thinking it'd just be overkill and I'd be waisting $ that I could be using for something more useful.. if you get a chance check out my grow. I have over 10 dif strains I'm working with now. Links in my signature, idk if it's this system or what cause I can't see the link or signatures of mine or anyone else's.. who knows. Lol

Ok a lot has changed since I was last on here plants are under scrog screen in a new setup I have decided to go hydroponic for this grow I built a 5 gallon 4 plant aerophonic setup I have a airstone in my bucket as well as a submersible pump that is spraying nutes right on to my roots have a riser and spray nozzle on the pump using general hydroponic nutrients with a ph of 6.8

Will post pics in a couple days plants are just starting to get their water roots
