I use 13 hours of darkness to initiate flowering and I get very good results. I've read it is somehow beneficial compared to just 12/12

I always go from my veg cycle to flower in chunks. I believe straight 18/6 to 12/12 may cause shock

I have used 11/13 with one strain as it wouldn't flower on 12/12....I didn't notice any difference and saved on power

I typically run 20/4 in veg and will revert to 12/12 in one chunk and have never seen any issues

Update time!
Start of week 7 of 12/12.

Hoping these nugs fatten up soon.

As I anticipated I think this will be a 10 week flower.

Its interesting how this plant looks alot more sativa dominant in its flowering cycle.

If you look at my first pictures you will notice the fan leaves have much wider blades than they do now.

Not that there are many big fans left lol.

Looking good! Mine do the same thing, wider leaves at first then they get thin. I was able to harvest some at 9 weeks but have let some go to 11 weeks. If you take good care of them they will get huge!

They get to be some of the largest I've grown.

We're at the start week 7 flower which isn't as bad as I thought.

Started the flush today.

Ill give it 7 days then harvest give or take
depending on how they lookin.

Wondering if i should give them 36 hrs darkness before cutting her down?

Any input would be appreciated

Imo its pointless to do extra darkness at the end. Ive tried it and it was no different than the stuff i chopped without extra darkness.

I think the key was keeping the lights ALMOST touching the buds during flower.

I cut her down today. All trimmed up and quietly happy with yield.

Will be back in a couple of weeks with a dry weight.
