Back again guys, so far i couldn't be any happier with this grow. Both strains seem to be doing exceptionally well despite the large amount of rain we have received lately. Guess it's just helping flush a little more for me :D. I've been super busy lately trying to keep all of the tops level even though i'm not scrogging this time i still feels it helps to confuse the plant a little on the top node so its more equal to the nug's. Especially the No. Lights its been stretching so much it usually has one top higher than another one i fixed the day before almost every day now. Bubblegum thus far is the better smelling one and way overpowers the scent of the No. lights. I also have a question about the bubblegum if some of you would help out there is an enclosed picture of a single leaf with discoloration and twisting of symmetry of the leaves i don't even know if the two are related but if some of you have input it would be greatly appreciated. Its also been thought multiple feedings and flushed now so i feel as if its something maybe not included enough in my ladies diet's. I'm feeding Advanced nutrients: Bud Candy, Big Bud, and Liquid Carboload. Humbolt Nutes: Oneness and Sea Cal, along with sea kelp every 3 weeks and molases every week in the feeding i am using all liquid nutes and sea kelp at 3/4 strength, and 1 1/2 tbs of molases. Here are the pic for ya... idk why some decided to be sideways either :-|

Is the Northern Lights #5 truly that? I would love to get my hands on real nl #5 . One of my all time favorite strains with truly great medicinal properties(at least for me). Threads at numerous forums have led me to believe that most of the big time seed companies that had nl#5 have lost it or changed it.

Highertimes, have you grown this dinafem version before? thanks for any info.

Dan

@ danny, yes to this point the No. Lights has out preformed any of the other strains that i have grown to this point. It seems to respond really vigorously to not just low stress training but also high stress training. It is so bushy because it would heal in like 5 days from a topping and i would just top the next node up until just about 2 weeks out of flowering. The whole time using a lot of super-cropping to keep all of the tops even and it never slowed down a bit. I also agree with the fact that its one of the best medical strains out there for me too. and i hope that it is the real strain because i got it from attitude but even if it isn't its still surprised me over and over this whole grow. Unfortunately this is the first grow of these seeds for me so you never know but i would defiantly recommend it for others that are like you and I. Ill try to keep you posted on the rest of the grow though thanks for your input back =).

p.s. i even broke a top just a week ago and this is a current pic here... still didn't seem to miss a stride

Thaks for the information. I checked out Dynafem's website and the nl they have listed is just nl ,not nl#5.They do have normal and fem seeds, however. Did Dynafem formally have nl#5 in their catalog or is NL their version of it? Best of luck with your grow,I'm sure going to follow it with great interest.

Dan

Idk why it wouldn't say it but when i got the seed it was listed as NL # 5 (fem) in the package from attitude. Thank you for the luck its always helpful. I would hope they wouldn't just put that in there but i guess you never know haha. Also i got an update on the bubblegum for everyone which today i noticed that the hairs were turning slightly pink which i am extremely excited for. I feel that the leaf problems i had before might have been zinc deficiency and since i added compost heavy in banana peels to see if it would help correct yesterday, the light coloring has seem to faded a little darker and closer to leaf edges meaning i hopefully solved whatever it was. here's the pics for today

Hey highertimes!

Looking nice and healthy! I've grown out a number of the northern lights phenos, #5 being the most popular for using in breeding based on weight and trichome production. It is indeed one of the bloodlines of the european and cali genetics. If you have the real deal #5 you have the best NL non crosses there are!

One thing I can recommend as I see you're in CO, is to figure out some good structures to protect your plants as it looks like you might extend to end of oct with those girls. Most outside ladies at this point are looking at 2-4 wks left.

Your nutrient regiment seems on point though I could recommend a cheaper alternative to everything you're running, maybe for next year...

Good luck and good growing!

What kind of structures are cheaper but efficient alternative to an expensive greenhouse type setup? but i am also running advanced due to the fact that i will be switching to an undercurrent system as soon as i have a little more room and some startup funds but if the alternative would suit that system as well for nutes id be very interested.
hope to hear back,
Highertimes.

Update on the Crop from should be getting ready to finish up on the bubblegum very soon and probably go another at least two weeks on the No. Lights severe frost in my area though i have been able to keep them alive and the buds unaffected by the frost. The fan leaves on the northern lights were defiantly frost burnt a couple of times and if the were bad i removes them. here's the pics give me some feedback (lots of pics)
