weeks of rain and cold temps

its been raining for a while now and all this week is suposed to rain. its also been pretty cold to and i was wondering how long does it take for mold to develop? I mean its been cold and rainy for weeks now and i dont know if i should chop or not.
 
I hear mold grows well somewhere around 7 hours of continous moisture with temps around 75/80. However, in your situation, the cold should help suppress mold growth. I had 6 straight days of cool/rainy days and found no mold whatsoever - the low temps + Serenade (just in case) were enough to keep the mold at bay, even having a mold-susceptible strain.
 
The biggest mold prevention during a rainy season is to make sure to remove dead leaves, before they cause the mold. Almost ever time i've really had any problems with mold it was
from a dead fan leaf or even bud leaf left on the plant thats the only thing i have problems with even to this day
 
would any one suggest running out ever couple days to shake water off them? its not getting sunny like at all so the water isnt leaving the buds. I will check for dead leaves, give her a litle hair cut like BDW lol ( I laughed so hard when i watched his prohibition video, and hes like "iknow baby you need a haircut " LOL ) Oh and the strain is purple afgani Blush. Indica Dom. Smells like jamaican pearl and its getting so frosty/ Ill try to get pics up for you guys

im not recommending you use the product just showing you what it is ... i would shake the water off before sprayng chemicals on it... like you said.

It hasn't affected smell. As for taste, I'm a week out from being able to smoke them yet, but I don't think it should have affected taste. They say it can be used to day of harvest, but I stopped applying 2 weeks before harvest. It's organic compatible - the active ingredient is bacteria.
 
we had all sun for awhille, and then one night it pured all night, cleared up the next few days and i noticed mold starting in a few spots, so it doesnt take much
 
anyone know if Purple afgani blush is mold resistant? or cheese and lemon skunk? i am def not using any products on my ladies, if mold occurs i will jus remove the moldy part.
 
I'm in the PNW and we are into our rain season (9 months). Humidity is 80% right now and has been aroun 70% for the last three days. I have chopped one good stem and a few smaller ones to remove some bud rot. How much longer can these girls last under constant 70% humidity? I do have them covered so they aren't getting wet from the rain.

Serenade WILL effect the tyaste of your buds if you spray within 2 weeks of harvest. You gotta remember, most things they say you can spray up to harvest, is not poison, and can be washed off edibles before you consume them. When you spray it on a bud that your going to SMOKE, that's a completely different monster, and the labels are not talking about MJ.
When you open that bottle of serenade, smell it, it's horrible smelling...you think that won't effect flavor?? your dreaming. You should rinse the hell outta your plants at harvest if you've sprayed anything on them since they started blooming, IDK what the labels say.

Well, they specifically say do not sniff it - you don't want to inhale millions of bacteria cells - some people may be hypersensitive compared to others.

And I don' think it will affect flavor; I bought the concentrate and it becomes pretty diluted. During the application process, I went light on the spraying. I didn't drench the buds in solution, and my aim was mainly towards the fan leaves.
But I'll see yet - I've just entered the curing phase, and as of now, nothing has been tasting wrong while smoke testing.

So far, nothing but thanks to my guy at the hydro store for recommending this product.

Im def with Wheez. I am really anal about taste, smell. ect gotta taste good, gotta smell good, gotta feel good. And he is right man they didnt test that shit on marijuana they tested it on vegtables and fruit probly. Think of all the fiber like hairs and softer material there is in buds compared to the smooth surface of a zukini, or tomatoe. The chemical may be fine if used on a smoother surface and washed off. but that dosnt go for Hariy buds with tons of Trics that would probly obsorb it. Jus sayin thats what i think. I havnt used a single thing on my Lemon skunk AND Cheese this year except water, and a tiny bit of sugar and they are looking so so so delicious and so many trichomes, i bet its guna be some BOMB ERBS when properly cured. Point blank man The best is to use nothing but rain water and sun light. Pure.

Its been raining for a while like week now, But last couple days were the sunnyest and hottest in a while. They are looking amazing. I would say jus shake water out and cover if u can. shaking works jus fine. just a bitch if you have to go our to your patch everyday .
