Concerned about my Himalaya Gold's

Pictured on the left is the Church and on the right is the Himalaya Gold (ignore maple leaf in the background). Next pictures are closeups of both.

The Church is way further along in bud production. The HG is supposed to be ready in around 3 weeks, but I can't see it filling out that quickly. The church is going to go an extra week. They are growing at the 49th parallel

They are both in the same size pot (3 gal), same soil (mix of pro-mix, compost, bone meal and worm casting. I've added half dose of pure blend veg twice and some seaweed ferts a few times. I'm not sure how many weeks they are in flower, I'm thinking 3-4.

I'm thinking of adding some Kool Bloom powder at 1/4 the dose to help get things going a bit more....

I've got 11 plants on the roof all about the same size and 20 more in a mountain plot (they are 2-3 times bigger in 10 gal bags)

Any advice from the experts? This is my first grow

Update

Sept 14th

The Church on the left, Himalaya Gold on the right. The Chuch has around 3-4 weeks left and I can tell the buds are going to be monsters, all my Church's are the same. The HG has 2-3 weeks left according to the seed stats.

I'm wondering if it's just strain specific. Maybe the HG doesn't respond as well to mild temps, whereas the Church was bread for cooler humid temps. The HG in my green house is not any further along, the daytime temps will be a bit higher...

I could see the HG taking several more weeks to finish...

Any thoughts???

I've found the stats for himalaya gold to be a bit off. Im at 45th parallel and my HG is at least a week behind the big bang even though the stats say it should finish first. It's hard so say where the HGs true genetics lie but it seems obvious to me that its a bit more acclimated to cold weather and seeing as its one of greenhouse seeds strains that's closest to landrace, another would be their Thai, its plausible to believe when grown outdoors it may react more vigourously in flowereing when not only does the lighting change but also the all-around climate. i wouldnt be super worried, just let mother nature do her thing, add nutes as needed and sit back. hope i helped. check out my thread if youd like. its hard to tell the HG from the BB apart in my latest pics but ill put some up before the weekend so theyre clearly marked. peaceeee

Cool, thanks for posting. I checked out your grow thread and subscribed, it will be interesting to compare yours to mine. Nice to know my HG's are not the only ones behind. Looks like it could be mid Oct...we'll see. I'll continue to update mine. I still have to take photo's of my mountain grow plot. The plants are twice the size in 10 gal grow bags.

Cheers

Update Sept 24th

10 days since my last pics, the Himalaya is coming along, but there's no way it will be finished by next week as per the statistics; I'm guessing more like another 4 weeks.

The Church in comparison is doing really well, I'll probably be done in 2 weeks, as per GHS statistics. The Himalaya is where the church was 3 weeks ago...

Been raining for 4 days and will continue for another 3 days (with a break tomorrow). Highs in the high 60's and lows in the low 50's, after the rain spell, 10 days of sun are expected, but still, highs in the mid to low 60's and lows in the upper 40's to low 50's toward the end of next week. Bad luck i guess...if the last week were sunny and 70's as usual, they'd all be doing that much better...

First 4 pics are of the HG the last is the Church

I'm in the same boat as you.

I used Chemdawg #4 clones from a Drgreenthumb feminized seed my buddy grew last year.
Everytime I clone from a femed seed plant, the flowering time lengthens by about 2 weeks. The seeded plant finished last year at about the first week of Oct.
The clones are taking way longer this year than the seeds did last year. They look about as matured as your HG..And I have mold issues.

On a good note , I do have 11 The Dopes from Drgreenthumb and 3 swiss cheese,1 Aurora Indica,6 Northern lights from Nirvana that are about finished.

Very interesting, I'd like to hear other peoples experiences with this. My HG's are 2rd generation clones (cloned from a clone).

I have one HimalayanGold in my garden. I will get a close-up of it next time I;m taking pics. I t;s not one of my better plants for sure. One of my main staole steains that I grow outside is Goo, and it yields very good, and is just covered in crystal. It has a very swet oungent smell and a knock down high. The Himalayan Gold pheno I have is a watered down version of the same genetics. The buds aren't as big, the plant doesn't get as big, and the potency and flavor are lacking compared to the Goo strain we get around here.
My experience with this strain, is it likes alot of sun, and alot of water, and doesn't mind the heat too much as long as it gets plenty of water. Cooler temps bring on powder mildew attacks on it too.

Looking good van! I think in the coming weeks you'll see your HGs becoming alot more dense with swelling in the flowers. Thanks for the update! I'm hoping to update this sunday. It's interesting what was said about the clones taking longer to flower than from seed. Mine is from seed and i dont have any plans to clone since i dont have any space inside. I came across something about how flower time can be effected by when it is transferred outside, but its going to take some more experimentation for me to verify that.
@ Wheezer - goo is a very good strain, i havent had the pleasure of growing it but it sure is some great smoke! Is goo originally from b.o.g?

HG's are supposed to be technically done, But i'm thinking 3 weeks left at least.

The Church is right on track

LA Woman is probably on track for mid Oct.

From left to right, HG X 2, Church X 3, La Woman X 2

Youre right the HG you have are really bushy compared to mine which focused alot of its growth of the main cola. I actually think i'd prefer your phenotype. Those church look really good too. Cut because of mold right? If you keep track of this sort of thing i'd like to know how they yielded. Thanks!

Just thought I'd throw my experience out there. Growing Blue Dream and Himalayan Gold Indoors right now. Blue Dream is blowing the HG away!!! Sounds like we all are having the same experience with HG. Not very impressive by any means. THC content seems extremely low compared to my BD. The Flowering time is behind by a couple weeks i'd say as well. I grew from seed. The HG were feminised. Using an ebb and flow system, two 1000 Watt lights, one MH one HPS. Using expert GH nutrient series. My HG are 6.5ft tall, BD are about 4ft tall. As previously said though, HG seems really behind... i'm hoping its just the genetics of that strain and that if given more time the thc content will increase significantly. I'm on my 4th week of flowering. The environment is perfect. high of 79/80 low of 73 Farenheit. Humidity at 47-55%. I've had no deficiencies or problems all grow. They were in aggressive veg for 23 days and mild veg for 7 days. I'll let you guys know if the thc increases in the end.
