i got to plants outside in 5gal pals with fox fram soil, and no nutes. i just started useing liquid seaweed 2 tsp per gal. been outside for 10 weeks, 3 weeks ago the leaves tips started curling and burn ends and a few yellow leaves. i have been cutting a few bad leaves off here an there. the top half looks great but the bottom half looks like this. Yes i spray her with neem oil, no i do not check the ph of my water. i do keep her in a homemade greenhouse between a wood pill, yes there are alot of fly's becouse of the wood. My friend said it happens to all plants and to just cut all the bad off. I think theres a little more then a few? Any help would be great!
p.s. love this site

if YOU HAVE NOT FED THE PLANT THEN ITS TIME. feed WITH A ALL PURPOSE FERTILIZER. IT WILL START GROWING AGAIN.

okay, first and foremost you need to get your PH in check before we can even start to fix the problem. youve got some deficiencies going on and im sure its due to improper Ph adjustment.

certain nutes arent availible to the plant no matter the amout present if the ph isnt right. then when you add more nutes in an attempt to correct the problem you just compound the issue.

you must get your ph around 5.8 first and foremost. DO NOT add more nutes untill you fix your PH or you will surely have more problems.

stop taking advise from your friend who says this always happens. if this always happens to him then he hasnt a clue what hes doing. the failing of the lower leaves is the plants natural reaction to a deficiency, its drawing the nutes its not recieving from the roots from the leaves that are getting the least sunlight.

and stop removing fan leaves unless they are almost completely damaged. the plant is using resouces in those leaves...thats why they look like they do. if you pull them before the plant sucks them dry where is your plant going to get the good stuff?

slikwill is right on....except for the ph, it should be closer to 7 for soil with 6.5 being ideal, the easiest way to go about this is to add some dolomite lime to the soil, just sprinkle a few big ass spoonfulls around the top of the bucket and mix it in the top inch or so of dirt and you will pretty much buffer the ph and add a few micro nutes also, fox farm soil is buffered pretty good but over time the shit in it washes out so adding more is good, as far as nutes go its time to start with some foxfarm growbig and big bloom, i use 2 tsp per gallon of growbig and 6 tps big bloom for veg, if you can get the growbig hydroponic as it has buffers in it so it stays at 6 which is just fine

THANKS GUYS,
i will do that, for you ebay guys is this ph pen o.k? Item number:290332932263
ive always liked the Ph drops. alot of guys will swear by the meters but i feel that a large bottle of drops will last just as long as any decent meter AND you can drop the bottle of drops and not ruin them. never have to calibrate drops or wonder if theyre calibrated.

just my opinion.:peace:
