Triacontanol, is a natural plant growth stimulant found in alfalfa. You can buy alfalfa at a pet store, feed store or even at Wally World.
.
Alfalfa is a very common animal feed, lots of people feed it to their rabbits, sheep, goats, horses..etc..
.
Put a cup of it in an old sock, bash it with a hammer or brick, drop it in a bucket & add one gallon of water. Let it sit for (3) days. Swish it around a little each day.
.
Then water it in, at one quart per gallon of soil (in your container) or one gallon per plant (if planted in the ground). You can use it from seedling to the second week of flowering with no ill effects.
.
See growing Organic is not Hard or Expensive.....
It has only one drawback.... It smells like an old wet sock... Oh well, nothing is perfect.

Hmm, so, would this be alfalfa in pellet form, or just regular alfalfa? I'm assuming you're talking about the pellets but I'll ask anyways...

Yes, I'm talking about plain old alfalfa pellets, the kind you feed your bunny rabbit. They are a decent, cheap, Organic fertilizer - with built in plant stimulant. You can also get them in a powder (called alfalfa meal) - they just charge you a couple of bucks more - for smashing up the pellets for you. I've got a brick & I'm Frugal. Plus smashing things is therapeutic.... Rising Gas Prices... Bam... Rising Electric Bill .... Bam..... ah...I feel the stress melting away.. BAM.....

never heard of it but il have a look around, would it still be cool to use with my organic pre-fertilised soil? And would i use it like an additive alongside my regular organic nutes or would i not need to use any other nutes with it?

Yes it would be, it has a nice low NPK (avg. range is 2-1-2 to 3-2-2) with plenty of trace minerals and the Triacontanol.
.
Use one cup smashed up per gallon of soil for a nice Organic boost...
.
or Make it into a tea and water in...

Let recycle this old thread..... alfalfa meal is a cheap, well rounded source of NPK with bonus all natural growth enhancers..... not from a bottle.... and dirt cheap.....

Around here alfalfa comes in bales...of actual alfalfa for feeding rabbits etc...I cant find pellets....would this work?
.
ISmokePotBecauseItsCool.... If you have a Walmart, you have it. In the pet section, a five pound bag of Rabbit Food (aka - alfalfa pellets - near the bird & chincilla food) or at any feed store. Alfalfa pellets are sold to feed a wide assortment of animals.
.
The Alfalfa Hay will work, but will need to be chopped up and composted first. Or feeding it to a Rabbit, processes it quick, what comes out the south end - it's great for making tea, or top dressing. That way you get the Triacontanol plus NPK to boot...
.
Hope this helps...

i am thinking of trying this out to supplement the feeding i currently give which consists of: BMO's grow it green, flower power, SPT and foliar harmony as per ohso's chart. i mix this with a worm casting/molasses/seaweed tea. I alternate the Grow it Green and SPT.

what do you think?

that is was I do dude. I also add a few cups of compost. Both fresh and store bought. It really kicks up the bacteria. I also ass hydroguard and either egghell water or cal mag. I dont have any opinion on if cal mag is organic or not. lol, I also add hydroguard.

sorry to hijack the thread. I know that everyone who reads this is also into BMO too though. I cant wait to add more goodies to my tea. I like the thought too. Yum, healthy. Check my journal.
