Strongest EC Your PLANTS Have Ever Handled....?

I've read that different plants like different concentrations of feed.
My 9 started, as young Veg plants, with an EC of 0.6.
After 48 days of VEG they had EC 1.2/1.4
Now, on DAY 42 of Flower, EC 1.8/2.0 is the strength I'm feeding.

After nearly killing my babies, and severely stunting their growth,
I stay on the cautious side and feel underfeeding is much less of a potential problem
than overfeeding.

WHAT STRAIN OF PLANT HAVE YOU GROWN THAT COULD COPE WITH THE HIGHEST EC/CF/PPM TDS LEVELS?
And what were those levels???

Which strains are the most resilient to NUTE BURN ?
AND
If a plant can handle a comparatively high EC as a youngster...
does it usually follow that they can cope with comparatively more as Flowering plants???

ALTERNATIVELY...
which strains could handle the LEAST amount of EC levels???

Hmmm EC I haven't really used the EC measurment in a long time mainly my PPM as its more common in the States. Id have to look at my EC/PPM wand. I know I usually top out my high ppms around 2400 ish

Did you know that the EC to PPM conversion has different ratio's in USA, UK and AUSTRALIA???
As though it's not confusing enough with people using EC, CF or PPM
The PPM has 3 standards!!!

Saying that, it will still be quite straight forward to convert.
But a universal standard for ALL measurements should be an international goal.

In the UK we changed from FEET/INCHES to Metres
Decimal systems are much easier - once you get used to them.

Reading the plants is a good idea, little bit by little bit. I added nutes up to 1.8 in flower and ended up with nitrogen toxicity which I am still trying to correct, day 19 of flower, leaves started dropping off and turning yellow on the bottom of plant. Dropped to 1.4 ec and will see how they go...

twice I feel like I have added to much to soon now, both in veg and flower so to ere on the side of caution is better than overdoing it.

you have more than 1 decimal system?
Money
Before 1972 there was 140 penny's to a pound and 26 shillings to a guinea....
It was weird!
But, when the 100p to £1 came in - people couldn't understand it.
We'd had the old system since before the Norman Conquest and it's what everyone knew.

About 10 years ago we switched from Imperial Weights (Pounds, Ounces)
to Metric (which is a decimal system using Kilo's, etc).
People were so opposed to the change that some shop keepers actually went to prison
for repeatedly refusing to change their shop signs and sell by the kilo instead of the lb.

BUT we still use MILES for Road signs and car speedometers.

The UK can never decide whether it wants to be European
or 'Mid-Atlantic'.

^^^humboldt14 for the win. We have fed for a week or so @2.2 ec ending a week before flush...no issues. Flushed fine. I would expect to find it more difficult to flush straight from those levels but I haven't tried.

Peace

i don't have any problems flushing, i use the full house and garden line and I've been told you don't have to flush at all with house and garden. i flush for only 3 days and get a perfect tasting flower. Club quality.

I don't go much higher than 1.0 in dwc. Some strains less. Depends on size/condition of plants/roots and how much it likes to eat. Personal closet grow will have smaller plants than a dispensery or commercial op (in general).

girl scout cookies ,platinum girl scout cookie ,kens gdp of course if u have the right and true GENETICS. i do soil in 5 gallon hercules smart plastic pots ,3 week veg , ppm in flower 1300 from jump , flush month in flower then drop ppm to 1100 tip last week and flush. basically all i care bout is ppm temp light air circulation/in-out, ph , and bugs lol ec and the other bs is for hydro i think , my opinion I've never had problems.the great thing bout the hobby is learn your own method and get good strains . we can't tell u unless we get ur strain?

I am growing Girl scout cookie, Blk Berry Kush and Cherry Pie all at 2200ppm and today i am bumping up to 2300ppm and all my plants are big and healthy. i believe and i have done is weather a plant is a light feeder or a heavy feeder i push them equally and never have problems.

I do have a ec/ppm meter, though I have yet to measure the nutrient content of any feeding.

I can say that, more than once, twice, I have fed my biggest girl at 4x the potency of what a standard feeding is. I have also done a double feeding twice as well.

The first double feed was 2 days before changing lights to 12/12 (68 days into veg), the first 4x feed was 11 days later (9 days into 12/12 and 4 days of actual flowering), the second double feed occurred 10 days later (2 weeks into flowering), and the second 4x feeding was 3 days after that (19 days into flowering).

She is super happy.

Jesus! I am in Recirculating Aero. I have never gone above 1100 PPM's without seeing some sort of nute burn. How the hell do you get them up to 2400????

BTW - That was a Green Crack Clone.

Lol and the Skywalker OG I am doing now barley handles 950 PPM
