Been reading a lot and asking questions, just finished my basic clone set up. This might be good for anyone else starting out as well.
I didnt know what lights exactly to get for clones (with the right fluorescent spectrum) so I played it safe and got the "Sun Blaster T5" from the Hydro shop. 2 of them, $50.
From Petco I got a reptile heating pad, and temp and humidity gauges. $35
I took 2 pieces of wood I had left over from something else (wood stake from a fence, cost $2 at home depot). Used the light clips that came with the lights and drilled them into the wood.
Found these little hooks nail hooks in my tool drawer.
Hammered them in. Top and bottom of the wood pieces now:
Took some twine I had left over from tying my xmas tree to my car, used it through the hooks in the wood, then tied it to my hanger pole in my closet. Light hangs even and stable. Put humidity dome and heating pad under it.
Might be cheaper and easier ways to do this but this is what worked for me. Hopefully all goes well from here on out.
