seedling just came up how close should i put the light

a new seedling, id say 4-6 inches , rather be a lil too far and get stretch than be to close and loose a plant...PEACE
Be careful with brand new seedlings the first couple days in dirt. After 48 hours do the hand test.
Hold your hand palm down directly under your light. The theory is that plants are just as sensitive to heat as we are.
So when your hand gets warm-feeling, that is as close as you want to put your ladies.

PS -- The time when I'm most likely to use the hand test is when I'm deciding how long to veg a plant. By knowing how much
more I want my plant to grow during flowering it is easy to extrapolate finishing height. Important with space restrictions.
