First grow with pics, experienced input requested

Hi all, I've been around RIU on and off for awhile. You can skip the narrative and go to the pictures if you don't want to hear my back story. My first grow a couple years ago got nixed by my ex. Well I'm divorced now and in my new home so it's time to try growing again. First I'm not in a green state and I'm just trying to grow some quality stuff for myself and to give some to some good friends. Right now money is very tight so I'm starting on a shoe string budget. My first attempt was in a pc case so I'm using that for veg and some rubbermaid bins for flower with 6 cfls. For my first attempt I bought some DJ Short Flo and some Blue Mystic, last year I got a job in Afghanistan and on the way back from R&R I stopped in Amsterdam and bought some White Widow, AK47, and White Ice seeds. I tried to germinate my Flo first and was successful my first plant is about 10 days (I think) since I went 12/12, My cutting is a couple days older than that. The seedling (ak47) is a about a week old. I'm not very good at keeping track, just kind of forgot to document (won't happen again). I am using a GH starter kit that I bought a while back. I'm growing the seeds in FF Ocean forest soil that I also bought a while back. The cuttings are/will going square kitty litter tubs in DWC, but are started in little bubbler tubs. I have a some questions and will post them with the pictures below.

First this is a couple pictures of my first girl, I tried to LST, but obviously need some practice :P

When she started to stretch she got too close to the lights and burnt a little :(

I was pretty worried about over feeding since I read that Flo was a light feeder, but I think I didn't feed enough at first and I started getting yellow on some fan leaves, didn't take pictures at the time, but you can still see it some.

Here's the cutting I took before I went 12/12. I think I let the water level go down and the stem went out of the water and the top wilted, it hasn't come back , but I am encouraged from the roots finally starting. What should I do for nutes? Is it too soon to add them to the water? Now that I see some roots coming I'm going to move her to the kitter litter container and move to 18/6 light (currently in 24/0)

Here is a shot of the roots just starting.

Here's a picture of the AK47 seedling. It's a double, I've never heard of 1 seed producing 2 shoots like this, but I don't care much about this plant, I bought the seeds when I couldn't find the ones I wanted the first day I was in Amsterdam. Really I am searching for my favorite and will grow that, so I'm going through each strain I have and each seed I have. I'll have 2 strains going at all times, my current best and one I haven't tried, the winner moves on and the loser gets the cutting flowered and not cloned.

Anyway, please comment and give advice. I am looking for any and all input. I realize this is a pretty crappy grow, so save your flaming. I'm just trying to grow and learn, I realize that growing AAA bud takes years of experience, but you have to start somewhere, and that's where I am now.

Don't discount the AK, you just might like it.

I think you're doing fine for a new grower, far better than I did without the net as a resource.

If you have questions about LST in the future, PM me. I've been doing it for over a decade.

Thanks man, I had a meter that measured temp and humidity, but can't seem to locate it. She seems to be doing better in the basement closet than she was doing in the up stairs closet, I think temps were a little high up there. My biggest thing is I can't tell if I'm over or under feeding/watering. I just don't have the "feel" yet.

Did you have a question i missed? Yes growing is hard and takes practices, you are right about that. keep it simple and keep at it. Piece of advice, quit now. This hobby is addictive, it will waste all your free time and money. Have you read Jorge Cervantes book? I am worried you missed rule number one. You are not in a med state and plan on sharing? For real, bad news. Going to the book store and buying a few cannibis growing books is not as much of a tell as sharing with friends. your friends wont drop a dime or ripe you off. but they will brag about the hook up. and the guys they brag to dont give a fuck about you. They think you planted a seed and grew a money tree, and that money should be theirs. Be careful.

idk what the problem is...your plants look mostly good. see the yellowing in between the veins on the bottom leaves? that's a magnesium def begining. MJ are magnesium whores. idk anything about FF soil. but i do know soil biology and nute tox/defs when i see em. a little garden lime sprinkled on top of the soil ( a tsp) or a drench with 1tbsp lime in a gallon of water will fix that. or epsom salts. about a tbsp for each one. you can spray it also... 1 tsp/gal water and soray onto the leaves. it's absorbed through the leaves. and it works immidietly.

Perfect thanks Danny that's the stuff I am looking for I see the yellow, but I didnt know what was causing it. I have some garden lime in the basement garage, I'll apply some tonight.

Thanks for the advice, by share I meant, I would like to be able to offer my friends who smoke a hit when they come over to visit. I'm not going to be handing out baggies and I sure as hell won't let a soul know that I have a plant in the house. I get the don't grow of you aren't in a green state, but I believe 2 plants grown in a locked closet is better/safer than dealing with drug dealers. Also, I would like to be able to smoke what I want and not some swag off the street. I'll definitely check out those books. Thank you for your time and advice .
