Built a new closet under the stairs,got sum $ to start...now wut?

this is the last pic i took of my set-up

So now ive got a few questions:
1:Is the ligths i got enough power for the 1st monyh of vegging?
2:How often,and how much water a day do i give them?
3:Is there anything else wrong that u can see with this set-up?
4:I planted my babies in Miracle grow premium seed starting potting mix (0.0-0.01-0.0)Is this soil OK?
5:My seeds germinated foralmost 4 days,now that they have been plantted how long will it take for me to see them come up above the surface of the soil?

Any help with these question or any comments would be greatly apperciated :mrgreen:
 
Im gonna say you will need atleast 9 more cfl's by the end of the first month. Probably should just buy em as soon as they break the soil. Those 3 would be good for 1 plant. As far as watering everyones different i guess buy a moisture meter thingy if your not sure about it. That soil should be fine for now but you should think about using quality soil when you transplant.

i got 3 42 watt CFL's...i think i need more yes/no?

how long till i can see these planys come up?
 
It looks good as of now. And those 3 - 42w per plant will get you through the first few weeks. But if you're trying to make it through the whole veg period, you need at least one per plant.

As for the soil choice, I personally am not a fan of miracle grow, but it looks very neutral in terms of content.

Your plants should break soil in a day or so.
 
Ok i know i need more light.So either im gunna get more cfl's.My other option is my connection i have at the local pet store.Does anybody know if the floro's at a pet shop can be used for growing? If so,u name it and ill be able get my hands on it.

Any suggestion would be awesome:)
 
well i just checked the plants...but still nothing yet :(

I put them in the soil at 4am on feb.2nd.Today is the 3rd and its 10pm and nothing has happend.Its almost the 3rd day since i planted the previuosly germinated seed and im getting worried that im doin sumthing wrong :S pls help sumbody let me know wuts up.

My temp in the room is really high (80f) iunno if this migth be a factor.

pls help any1

How deep did you plant them? And the pet shop fluoros aren't that good for your cause.
 
those look a lil better i guess.

I also got another 42w CLF over them today :)

So thats 4 42Watt CFLs all together,i think that should be good for the 1st couplee of weeks.And i got a gettho mioster meter too,but it doesnt seem to work that well LOL w.e.
