Hello, me and a buddy of mine are having this argument plants sleep. And I was just wondering if this is true? I know the plant is still working hard at night. So it is doing something but everywhere I read it tells me they sleep. Can anyone confirm this? Other then the guy im arguing with.

this thread was opened to prove the ingoranace posted on another thread i will not rewrite everything i wrote but basically somethin sleeping is dormant and if plants do equal ammount of work if not more wen the lights are off how could they be asleep, Sutragrow u havent done anything other than prove what photosythisis is, if the stomates are closed on sleeping plants than that means everything in the desert sleeps during the day?!?! newyas here is the link to the debate we had....plently of informatino i have provided proves that plants are very much awake and are working diligently to produce many things.

no u see what i have shown is a subject written out from someone who has referred to proven facts! i am nnot bitching i am simply informing ppl...i didnt post personal informatio i posted factual information...the only thing u and ur friend here have come up with supporting the fact that plants sleep in the dark period is that. the stomates are closed............................................................... and ur 'factual' link clearly only states that plants sleep cuz one of the many processes are shut down and then it defines photosythisis...how does that help ur argument?

First i never stated anything about stomates closing lol second my friend got no idea who your referring to i clicked on this link because it was the first one to pop out under new posts lol. lofl who is trying to fight? did u not even read the link u have suggested us to read? it only describes photosynthisis and then the only thing to bac the proof of wether or notthey sleep it refers to the stomates not being open, so i think u should learn to throw daggers at ppl wen fit to do so! and also i think u should read shit be4 u start to use it at ur defense!
