cloning a bud

so this is my expiriment on cloning a budded plant. this will be my first attempt at cloning anything, so this will be fun.
so a freind had a single, verey small plant outdoors. I have heard about cloning and even have known people to have the same plants for several years. Ive attempted several plants in the past but never had success (never the place or time!)
so this is what I did.
with time limited i grabbed some organic walmart dirt and a couple small clay pots and a clear plastic bin w/lid. back home i packed 2 pots and went for clippings.
This plant was small but i got two lil ones from the bottom. the both had two nodes that made it in the clonex.
put them in the hole in the dirt, watered and went to the half assed (arssed) humidome. I found a good deal on some brite white 23w=100w floro's that have a kelvin rating of 5000 kelvin.
I started with one. then after about week i put another one on for some heat.
so heres some pics 11 days after clipping.
theres only one pictured cuz its the one of two that made it.

12th day I pulled the dieing one and it had no roots.:cuss:
and on with one.
THe next couple days I noticed the stem to thicken at the dirt and some blue on the buds , this coming from a color blind fuck..
but anyway, I started to touch it and some leaves fell right off. and the hairs from the bud were molding in some spots. I picked all of it off carefully not to fuck it up. Its only an inch and a half tall.
Im quite sure I over watered and misted(filtered water) the shit out of it... After cleaning it up i started leaving the lid open more. lights on 18/6 from day one. I started useing clonex solution in the mister, and it seems to like it. along with a splash of organic fish emolsion(even though it was allready to wet!)
In the picks you basically see the stem thicken a lil.:wall:

15TH DAY

I wasnt expecting to see anything. but to my suprize ROOTS..
As a noob, This is what I see..
The roots were reaching for the warmth. Out and up.. THe floro's were the only heat and it has chilled out a lot in the last two weeks!. And YES WAY TO WET!:finger: A third light was added yesterday.

OK now with 2 walmart dirts, some perlite, peat moss and a big pot this is what I did..

Knowing it was so wet, I made a nice pot sized hole from an empty. I placed this pot clump in it and just splashed some of the fish emo. around where the two soils meet to make sure those roots on the edge will stay moist.. Im HOPEING the dry soil around will spread the moisture out.
It did.. , So later on I watered a lil more, About a liter and a half actually..(fish) And none drained out the bottom so I dont think I over did it..:?:
So there She sits, under the floro's, for another week untill the metal halide gets here..

its not the producing roots thats the challenge with a clone in flower, more tryint to get new growth! yours is so small its going to be pretty hard, but give them 24 hrs light and :CHILL: on the water dude!
GOOOD LUCK!:bigjoint:
