run a inline fan and duct it into your light if you have one like that or make a cool tube in the faq section, the light is whats putting out the heat so if you can control that your good, i had similar problems until i did that

no 90 is not good... i had the same problem even with the light 4 ft. away. it grew but very slow and then i got some cfls and the temp is now 77 and they are doin great. Although, you can get a ducted reflector and it will greatly reduce the heat from the room given off by light and it works very well aslong as you have the light ducted.

i was still getting highs of 90 at the temp of the plant when i had ducted an a.c line blowing right on the top of the plants...and i'm actually gonna get some high power LEDs or a ducted reflector... but a ducted reflector requires a lot of work

use that fan to cool the reflector and get something like this

you can find it for around 100 shipped

drops more than 10 degrees in some cases... especially closets... get a 6" cool tube/reflector and get a 6" to 4" reducer duct pipe fitting from your local hardware store...

I see stretchin a little bit... and those reddening stems definitely show it has hit that heat.. closets can get very hot with HIDs. when you get those temps down.. they'll be fine. thats a nice reflector that your replacin. i would sell it on ebay if you dont think there any other use for is
