My 1st garden

I started my 1st garden from seed on Nov 16th. It has gone from an Aerogarden to a deep water system that I rigged myself, inside a phototron that I bought for $70. I also have one start going under 1 single grow bulb. I have purchased a LED panel with blue and red. Have not set it up yet, was going to put it on the start and see what happens

The 1st plant is now on a 12/12 cycle and the start is on 16light/8dark

Want some feedback on LED gardens, I have read some of the threads on here and it is hard to weed through the vigirous opinions of some people. Can you grow with just LED? Has anyone tried that?

Here are pictures of my plant... they are a couple weeks old I will post new ones soon...

Oh and I have a water pump and an air stone inside the water container to move the water and add air... I am using FOXFARM for veg and TIGER BLOOM for flowering.

You can grow with LED lighting, but they are less efficient than flouro tubes or CFLs.

I have yet to see an LED grow that yielded well.

actually, the dirt start is on a 24 hour cycle right now.

lee the one in dirt looks a little streched but looks like you fixed that looking good now, and the one in water looks perfect i have my fingers crossed for you to get females, but thanks for stopin by my thread lets see some updates soon.

the dirt clone came from my friend sctretched, he had trimmed all the lower leaves off it, but as it is a clone I know that one is female, the deep water culture plant has only been in flowering since Monday so we still dont know... after this batch is done I will be starting some seed I got from a batch that came out of Carson City Nevada... the start came from Portland, my buddy has 7 strains and he doesnt know which one he gave me... what an idiot, why werent they labeled

so I am picking up 1 or 2 1000 watt metal hihlyde lights, hood balast and bulbs for $200 each, anyhow, can i do the whole cycle with just these lights? Eventually I am going to set up a whole room, I am just picking up pcs as I go and can afford them. Once I get it all I will set up a proper room. ANyhow lights can I use those 1000 watts for the whole cycle of veg/flowering?

some updated photos from today, I think the larger plant is starting to show that its female... not 100% sure yet though, my camera cant focus good enough for me to take up close pics... and I had to tie up the dirt last night cause it was leaning bad... anyhow enjoy, please give feedback... do I have this thread in the wrong place? Not getting many hits...

nice man, i dono but maybe better if you switched the lights set up, like LED on top and other light on the side

yeah that was just for tonight, i need to rig up something to hold the light... I am pretty sure my other plant is a female so I can set them both up in the same area... be easier

Both on a 12/12 now, the dirt is about 1 week behind the other plant.
