Beautiful trichromes - pictures from cell + laser lens

Taken with my iPhone with a CD-ROM laser lens attached to it :lol:

Anyone out there knows if I'm close to harvest? (1st time grower here.)

All you need is a lens from a broken CD-ROM, and attach it in front of your phone.
I wish I could take a video, but the iPhone doesn't record video.

So, I noticed some of the trichs becoming a bit cloudy and a few are amber. Am I getting real close to harvest?

Also, I haven't being using nutes, but I did put them in potting soil, and I am feeding them a flowering bloomer (or something like that). The question is, do I still need to flush my plants?

i believe anywhere from 50% to 70% cloudy/amber trichs is the ideal time for harvest

And this is regardless of what the hairs look like right?

In my case there are barely any red hairs as of yet.

yes generally the trichs will be clear, start becoming cloudy and then turn red...

Bloom burst, flower boom, whatever... thats called Nutes. Its just high in Phosphorous the key to growing fat colas.

Yes, Flush them if you have been watering with the Nutes... and then hold off on watering before you harvest. it will cure better if the flowers arent full of water when you harvest. I stop watering a week sometimes before i harvest. and give them 48 hrs of total darkness after you notice the the surface of the soil is dry.

also, yeah u can harvest now if u like. u will get a nice head / body high

what strain is it?

They should be pretty standard, anything CD-ROM should work, like an old broken player should work, or a broken DVD player.

Is anyone interested in a more in depth how-to take pics of your trichs? I feel that the hack is pretty straight forward, but if demand is popular, I'll put a better how to with pics.

Laptops are even easier, just open your CD-ROM and pop the little laser lens out, and put it in front of the camera lens on your phone.

I wanna see more trichs pictures from the folks out there, and learn what to look for when looking at them (harvest time and such)
