First time grow (outdoors, bag seed)

First time grower. Being notoriously black thumbed, I wasn't expecting to be able to grow anything, but I found a few seeds in a baggie and gave them a try.

Pictures of the 2 out of 6 that made it. In potting soil, didn't get any special treatment other than water 3 times a week (from sprinkler system).

So to my surprise they're still alive, and yesterday, for the first time I noticed that the plants were actually flowering, and they both seem to be female. I haven't kept a diary at all (I really expected all plants to just eventually die). I think I started with the seeds around mid to late May.

Anyone out there kind enough to shed some words of what/where/when to expect things?

They look healthy and are females. I'd suggest that you start giving them flowering nutrients. The easiest to find is Miracle Grow Bloom Booster. It can be located at Walmart, Home Depot and Lowe's. Its what I use and it works great.

Alex, looking nice & healthy. You seem to be doing pretty well. I'd just expect the fan leaves to start dropping as the daylight continues to shorten and the buds to fill in. Looking good!
I didn't do a journal either but my 08's are looking good too. I did lose several to the termites again this year but many survived.

Thanks for the reply GS!

My wife said she noticed "white hairs" growing about two or three weeks ago (!) Does that mean I only got another week or two of flowering left? When do I stop with the flowering nutris?

Her name is Mary Ann (named after my wife, wifey no likey LOL)

regards,

Alex

Holy cannoli, my mouth started watering when I saw your pics, if I get half the yield you'll get, I'm locking myself in the garage for a while (I got running water, dog food and canned peaches to last me at least a month)

LOL, well just give your girls a little more time. I'd say another 5 or 6 weeks by the looks of the pics. Yep, I got a good crop this year.

"It's my most favorite time of the year!"

Nice 1st grow Alex. Don't get impatient they'll get there

8-10 weeks is the general flowering period. Click the "Tips" link in my sig for an explanation of how to determine when flowering is finished (#11). A week or two before harvest, stop giving nutes and flush the soil.

3 Week update, more pics

Very, very nice. Super healthy looking.

What kind of potting soil did you use? Did it have any nutes in it?
