Over the last week there has been a lot of hysteria over the court rulings. People are freaking out about MMJ business in general. Since the ruling i've gotten a few emails from a few different MMJ businesses that i thought i'd share, even though they aren't members on this forum i figured i'd let their voice be heard in this thread.

Recent changes to the MMMA, coupled with 2 Supreme Court decisions, may have impacted operations of some compassion clubs, patient networks and farmers markets, specifically the model in which they operated. We are dedicated to assisting the residents of Michigan with an uninterrupted supply of medical marijuana, we are open as usual.

From Iron Labs
Greetings my friends! So the great ruling has come and gone. As we enter another phase of the MMJ movement, we are faced with a collective, yet very isolating decision: What do we do now? Indeed this setback does not come as a surprise. The conservative make-up of the "supreme court" obviously is not acting in accordance with the rights and desire of the populous. This is intently discouraging and easily could send us all back into the closeted abyss. While each of us must determine our own paths, I am here to tell you we must not give up the fight! The changes for the good that have taken place in recent years can temporarily be suspended, but if history has shown us anything, out of every dark day comes a brighter one, and around and around we go. Iron Labs will continue to promote the safe and legal rights of all patients to access quality tested meds! We will not falter in our philosophical premise that the brunt of our work starts with the Patient/Caregiver relationship. Patients must insist their caregiver\'s meds are still tested. Caregivers, you have a huge responsibility to educate your patients and utilization of our resources is a great way to ensure that. When all this insanity is sorted out, we will come out stronger, more unified than ever, and ready to confront the next challenge which will inevitably come. We are here and more than ever, WE CARE!
Best regards,
Howard
If anyone else has got emails from other MMJ business please share them here.

I've got to say, i'm kind of shocked at the responses that seem to be in support of the court ruling and don't support dispensaries...

I don't buy meds from dispensaries or sell them anything but i still think they are great for people who need them and will always support the services they provide. They supply many patents with medicine they seriously need that they can't themselves grow or don't know any trust worthy caregivers to obtain it from. They also supply much wider range of meds than 99% of the caregivers out there, helping inexperienced patients figure out what works best for them. They also help connect caregivers with patients in need. They are also great at finding caregivers specific strains or rare pheno types to grow for themselves or patients in need.

I know know they aren't perfect, don't always have the best quality meds or have prices that everyone agrees with but they still help a lot of people and i can't figure out why anyone would be against that...

Received another email tonight...

From OM of Medicine

Hello Huel,

As many of you may have heard, the recent Michigan Supreme Court decision, the State of Michigan vs. McQueen, is creating a lot of questions. As Michigan Medical Marijuana patients, there is no reason to fear prosecution due to this judgement. From a patient’s perspective, the ruling defined no wrongdoing whatsoever in acquiring or even buying cannabis as a card holder.

What this ruling did for the dispensaries in Michigan, is it left more grey areas about where dispensaries fit in the laws and rules that govern the Michigan Medical Marihuana program.

While we are awaiting additional information about the ruling from our legal team and how it affects us, we will remain open.

We urge every one of you to write both your local and state officials, tell your friends and family, and be ready to assemble to protect our right to the safe access of medicinal cannabis.

We can do this together if we take ten minutes and write a letter on our own behalf to ask for the passage of a local option bill that establishes and defines dispensaries.

If you need assistance in writing your letter or in finding out who to contact in your area, please let us know and we will track down the names and addresses for you. You can also use this link to find your state representative:

Help support this cause and be the difference!

Sincerely,

The Om of Medicine

Did you ever have any doubt?

Imagine if Marijuana was legal to possess and grow
Illegal to sell

Then you wouldnt have to worry about the Goverment

No limits on alcohol or tobacco. Try getting legal to sell and produce those commodities

If I read the bill correctly, and I think I did, The Green Bee is wrong to say: "It will also allow patient to patient transfers"

vast majority of the people I see around the dispensary down the road from are teenagers or people in their young 20s, non of them look sick. it doesn't put a very good image to the lehman about medical mj. it appears many have mj cards without really needing it.

I would think that their reasoning would be between them and their doctor. You cant see my condition without me showing you and you certainly cant feel what I feel.

I find it hard to believe a group of teenagers and early 20 year olds all have chronic, debilitating deseases. Trust me I know what you are saying, I've got psoriatic arthritis but by looking at me you wouldn't know. let's be honest here, most mmmp patients do not need medical mj, they do it for recreation. At least in the metro detroit area that's how it is, might be different up north. My first time I got certified I went to a place in Dearborn, waiting room was full of kids who were obviously already high (doctor at VA hospital wasn't willing to sign medical mj form). Personally I am all for more stringent doctor records and a record of pre-existing chronic conditions if this is really a medical program. As it stands it's the wild west where anyone can get certified.

actually we talked about this at the PTSD hearing.. a good portion of people who fall under chronic pain have other condition that fall under that umbrella but are other condition that are not yet listed..

for instance.. the 50,000 some in the state that have PTSD cant get certified for this reason... so what do they do? fall under chronic pain.

don't be so ignorant. most of Michigan's population qualifies.. 1/4 do just under chronic pain.

agree to disagree. no need to call people names. I'm not trying to start a argument, just stating conclusions drawn from what I have seen. no doubt you have seen different things in your neck of the woods. I mentioned this in my original comment that that's how it is in my area, may be different in others.

I just don't get some of you guys, so what if it is for recreation ...stress,anxiety ..etc...it is a harmless plant that has hundreds of benefits ....has never killed anyone ....tough shit if people don't like it..or condone it...not their buisness or their body...those. brainwashed old turds are dying off every year n will be extinct in ten years.

Anyone who says " they dont look sick to me " Is just propetuating the idiotic thinking and should just stop talking. In my humble opinion.

Gather up your truely sick folks and then have them kiss the collective ass of the other 90% of patients and voters that got them in the clear for their use. IF they...nah WE all didn't get in too I wouldn't have voted for it. those skivy stoners you "sick people" hate are the reason you've got the weak-ass rights and half-protections you have now. without their support you're screwed and it's pretty hard-core dickish to pass judgement on someone else's health based on looks and age. You got plenty of enemies don't make you're allies your enemies as well.
