i have a bunch of 400 and 1000 watt hps and metal halide bulbs and ive lost track of how much they have been used. they all work and look ok when plugged in but i know they have a life span and then lose there efficancy. i dont want to be wastfull and toss them before there done. is there a way...

by the i have and assortment of bulbs including a sun master cool deluxe 1000 watt mh, an eiko 1000 watt hp, a hortilux enhanced spectrum 400 watt hps and a plusrite 400 watt mh what would be the best combo for veg. been growing outdoors for years but now im just learning about growing inside...

for 4:1 do you mean 4 parts metal halide to 1 part sodium?

i have a 1000 watt and 400 watts hood and was wondering if its a good idea to use both a mh and hps bulbs in my veg room? would it improve the light spectrum or should i continue with the 2 metal halides and save the hps for flowering? thanks
