the problem was ph.it was 5.0 which if im not mistaken is way to low kinda lyk skinny dipping in acid.any way its sorted now and back to 6.5 and looking beautifull had to flush with tap water which was ph 7.5 so it counteracted the acidity heres a pic.

thanks for the tip zero ive done exactly that,theyre all closer together and ive put the shower curtain closer too making the space smaller.the light is about 10 inches from the tops.seemed a bit to warm so iv put the fan blowing over the tops of the plants rather than through.seems u like pics...
