Elevating the buckets will not result in a properly functioning system. If you want to avoid usong a controller bucket you will need a flood table high enough to place a resovoir underneath it to allow gravity to drain the table for you. Then a pump and overflow valve will do the rest

There are ways to make your own bucket by purchasing around 100 dollars in materials. Ive made around 8 total with no issues. If you are interested please let me know and i can send full instructions

I use 3/4 between the buckets and i have 1/2 inch hard pipe going to and from the drum to fill the main bucket. It fills in about 4 or 5 minutes sits for 15 total and theb drains. 6 times or every 4 hours

I hope you have good luck forever. I build my own bucket from ogres tutorial and its goin on 4 years stong and ive build over 8 others that are all goin strong still. Only one timer failed right out of the box and ive had 2 floats go bad out of all the systems.

All of your float wires should go into relays. Your digital timer should work as long as it has 5 terminals on it since its a double throw. The analog timers work great just amazon them for around 45 bucks and snag a project box or something to make your own. Ogres diy is easy to follow

Sounds more the the timer itself if you redid the relays. They use single pole double throw timers and when it clicks over the mechanical part inside isnt moving. Some have a small flathead screw adjuster you can turn. Im not too sure about the cap one tho send a picture of the bucket. Floats...

It might be wise to wait a day or two and check out hlgs websight. There Lm301b chip is comming out this weekend and they might have a better light just like that one. The new diodes should be around 6 - 10% more efficient.

That light is much more modern tech. I think youll be satisfied. It shows a fairly low ppfd at 18" for flowering so you may wanna trellis or try to scrog it a bit and drop to 16" for flower. Also i would mention the 3500k light would probably be a better all around light if you wanna flower with...
