you will not get more yield from a true auto under 12/12. If you did not get more yield with more light you for sure had other factors that negatively impacted your grow (ph,nute burn, etc.)

super autos are plants that retain their autoflowering traits (will finish under 20/4 or 18/6) but with longer life cycles than typical autos. Most autos finish around 70 days, but super autos take around 100. The extra days give you more growth/yield.

If it is truly auto it wont return to veg when goin from 12 to 20.  Light cycles only control photo growth stages.  Like the other post said, give it another week and you should definately start seeing sign of pre-fower if it is an auto.  

i have one going right now at about 15days of age. Not much info on Auto Seeds out there yet. So far it is at the same growth pace as all my other autos. In two more weeks I will know for sure if it puts on the stretch.

Look for "super-autos". They are autoflowers with a longer growth cycle around 100 days. Those extra days get you extra yield. Flash Seeds has some good ones.

Spliff Seeds, or Kannabia have autoflower strains bred specifically for outdoor grows. Spliff seems to have more stable genetics though.
