That's why I'm leaning towards getting a second matching light. At $135, it's pretty well the cheapest option and I know the light works relatively well. Cheapest QB288 board and driver I've found is $219. The HLG 135 RSpec is $299 here. CXB3590's are still $200+. Don't have many options...
Spot on. I'm rather fond of the old retro-white bulbs. I scored a case of 12 for $10 when our local Canlyte factory went under. They run a touch cooler than HPS and keep plants really nice and bushy. I lent the light to a friend that maintains 4 moms in a 3x3 and he asks me weekly if I'll sell...
I'm fairly new to the LED world. With there being so many brands around, Mars gets brought up pretty frequently. So I had to do my due diligence and research their lights. Ive found either people love them or absolutely despise them. I'm giong to go out on a limb and say you're not a fan.
Yeah...
Nope. It utilizes 110W. 112W to be exact when tested with my meter. My 250W HPS magnetic ballast (Phillips Advanced S51) pulls 360W when firing up but comes down to 330W when warmed up. To run the 250W CMH bulbs I have, they need to be fired with a magnetic ballast. Going digital will only save...
Hey everyone.
I'm currently looking for another LED to add to my 2.5'x2.5' tent or possibly replace my current LED.
I currently have an Aglex G110 (110W). When Aglex released this light, it came with Samsung LM301B's and was supposed to flower a 2x3 area. They even published a par map showing...

Quite fond of these.
Looking good. Is your ballast compatible with MH bulbs? You can definitely veg with HPS however you will have taller plants and longer node spacing. With an MH bulb, you get tighter node spacing and better lateral branching. It's also depends on the strain and your growing techniques. Some dudes...
If you can cool a 600W in a 3x3, go for it. 400W MH/HPS is pretty ideal for a 3x3, 600W is great for a 4x4. Anything above 30 actual watts per square feet will be good. 50W per square foot is normally what you'd want to aim for.
All plants are indica or indica dominant hybrid. 2 are Pink Kush, 1 is Afghani Hybrid from a friend and the other is Northern Lights. All photoperiod, non feminized. I'll be picking the night time temperatures up to 20c. Have not added calmag yet.
Root farm Part 1 and 2. 3/4 strength as of yesterday. I don't have the ability to test PPM or EC. Also don't have the means to purchase equipment to do so. Light schedule is 12-1/gas lantern. Been using that schedule for years now as 18/6 is a waste of power (.30¢ Kwh here). First time running...
Thanks for the welcome!
They've been under that bulb for about a week. Prior to that was a Philips sonagro 430W HPS bulb. I had a bulb failure in the first week of veg so I had to use the HPS bulb while waiting for the new bulb to come in. Prior to that, they were revegged under a 6 bulb T5HO...
Hey everyone. I'm having a bit of a time putting my finger on whats ailing my plants. They all have similar problems. I've narrowed it down to not enough feed, calmag deficiency or too much of the wrong feed. I'm doubtful it's nutirent burn but I've been wrong before. Many times. All 4 plants...
