Its not connections or anything like that. Its that the actual clock only runs off of a high leg (208/277) and that type of voltage isnt in houses. So your ticker wont tick without that voltage.

Ya looks like the clock runs off 208/277. Dont think the clock motor itself would run off 240, most of the time they need a nuetral. I havent installed one without a nuetral before, but thats not to say its not possible.

Sounds like your ventilation isn't working to well, you may want to mess with that first. T5 lights don't put out alot of heat. I use T5 as well but I mounted the ballasts outside my grow box Just to eliminate that heat. Ballast put off alot of heat as well.

How would 240v not be more efficient? Voltage goes up, amperage goes down. So if hes running 1200w on a 2 pole(240v) breaker it would be 5A. As opposed to running 1200w on 120v being 10A. You could even run all 6 of you lights on a 220 breaker with 12.5A just in lighting. Its always more...
