should be able to do it with 1 1000w and a 5x5. Thats what I use with some CFL and t5. I thinkg TWO 1k lights would get too hot.

I think the AG has the pump on 24/7.. Not a bad thing at all.. Just amazing that the little bean that began germination less than a week ago is now sprouting! I looked at the roots and it's already almost 3in down into the pod. Faster than expected!

Reading all I can about using AG for weed. Most users add lights which are controlled externally with a timer. What of the pump? It stays on all the time? I have started an auto bean in my AG and it's growing freakishly fast.

CFLs give off very little heat. I built a fixture that uses 8 of them and it works great and stays cool. Good lock with your Lone Star baby!

While my beans are germinating I got their new homes ready with some hot dog containers from 7-11... the plan is to place the babies in a cube of rapid root and add a little water to the bottom. This is like a DIY terrarium for starting my seedlings. All lit for veg by my 8 CFLs in my turkey...

High Everyone. Launching our first grow and wondering what Ph meters you guys use for a hydro system. Besides Ph and Temp, what else sould I be measuing? PPM? Any help is awesome. :weed:

wow... nice room and layout! Youre right about being neat with wires... the feeder tub hitting the stalk cant be good... the other plant you pulled up was sure weak on the bottom so root rot for sure... not sure about the level of the media you were using or the nutes. Was it crazy hot there...
